Radio frequently just stops broadcasting and eventually comes back on

Peggy, Is the radio actually switching off or do you just loose the radio station. If radio is shutting off, there must be a bad wire/ plug connection, loose plug, or maybe bad ground.
If loosing station, have Arial/antenna connections checked, maybe upgrade to better antenna. Some stations just do not send out a strong signal which can also cause loss of station.

3 problems with my wharfedale ics182. 1. The stations are not stored when turning off the radio and then switching back on. 2. When turning the ignition. the radio does not turn on. my other radio does...

Swap the battery and accessory lead positions in the ISO header plug. This is easily done by pressing the pins out from the plug side using a fine bladed screwdriver.

_MANY_ cars have these 2 wired the "wrong" way in their radio socket. It's far easier to move the radio's wires than the cars.

Once you've done this your bluetooth will probably sort itself out too.

Hey there! I had the same problem just the other day and removed the radio from the car over night.

Turns out the radio may have got too cold or a little damp! Whereabouts is your car stored overnight? Could be the reason why!

Either that or one of the buttons could be stuck. Hope this helps

Loosing all ive saved when i turn the engine off

Easy fix, There are two 12+ volt feeds that should be connected to your unit.
1. Constant feed = 12+ volts that supplies power to the units memory all the time. This wire can be connected from the original radio connector wiring so long as it supplies constant 12+ volts, or be pulled from the battery, with an in-line fuse.
2. Switched feed = 12+ volts that only supplies power when the ignition switch is turned on,This wire can also be connected from the original radio connector wiring so long as it is a switched feed, also with an in-line fuse.
During installation ether these wires were swapped or the constant feed (memory wire) was not connected.
Good luck...
