Check the power and the data (USB) cables in the printer...check both ends...
Check :-
# The printer powers on properly
# There also can be problems with the printer driver
# and also internal printers....

SOURCE: MY HP F4140 DOES NOT SCAN. I PRESS THE SCAN BUTTON

I have an F340 HP all-in -one and the work arouind for me is to go into paint program and click "FILE" scroll down to from "SCANNER/CAMERA" and click scanner then save file.Windows Vista does NOT recognise the scan button on the actual printer ..I got this from the HP website cause I had same issue -- perhaps this will work you ..If not try going to their software support...enter your product and see if they have solution available for your printer model if this doesn't work for you....

SOURCE: My scan button on my HP 1315

disconect power cord from printer for a bout 5 mins. then plug back in. and rollback your printer drivers.

Uninstall your printer software,then remove all data cables of printer(i.e. USB) .Then reboot your computer ,after that reinstall the printer software & do not connect the USB cable unless prompted by the software to do so.Next finish the installation & you are done.

Can not scan


With some of the HP all-In-One printers, the scan function will only work once the printer software (not just the drivers) have been installed on the connect machine.

How do i scan with HP PSC 1315 all in one inkjet.


Go to -Start-There should be "printers and faxes".Click it,on the left side is "other places",under that heading is "scanners and cameras".Click it and it will bring up your scanner.Click to highlight it,then click "get pictures" in the left column.This will initiate the scanning process.

You can also get there thru "Control Panel" if printers and faxes isn't available in the start menu.Good luck!

How do I scan a document using the hp psc 1315 and then find it on my computer? I press the scan button and it seems to scan, but then I can't find the newly-scanned document anywhere. There needs to be an...


The scan button is setup to push the scan to an application, if you uninstalled the HP scanning software, it isn't going to go anywhere. If you didn't, it will put it into your documents folder under "My Pictures" in an HP created folder.

That said, you can also go into any application, like Word. then click "Insert > Picture > From Scanner or Camera" and carry the image in directly.

It automatically print a page everytime I start my hp psc 1315


Hi Siddarth

In HP PSC 1315 printer after replacing new Ink Cartridges the printer always prints Alignment test page every time you turn it ON.To resolve this problem you must complete the alignment process.

Steps

1.Turn the printer ON.
2.Once its ON, it will print the Alignment page. Place the page in the scanner bed correctly.
3.Then Press START SCAN button.
4.The power light will start blinking, wait until the power lights turns solid.
5.Now Alignment process is over.Discard the paper from scanner.
6.Turn the printer OFF and then ON, it will not print that page again.

Note:Please follow this steps every time when you replace the Cartridges.

Try reinstalling the printer driver...
