Try a universal remote to confirm if tv or remote - 99% of remote problems are related to the remote not the TV. It's probably worth buying a universal remote (Walmart electronic store) to programme and try.
If this helped Vote/Rate me Thanks

IFtv turn on with the remote but dont turn off. if you hit a cetain button on remote it might now and then go off is it the remote or tv.Sorry bother you im a single mom with a 13yr old daughter ty

As you say the remote is working now and then, the fault should be with the remote only.

Please try to operate your TV with some other remte(universal remote). If the problem presists then the problem is with the TV. So please call your service centre and They wil come and change the pick up sensor.

    PT-52LCX65 Lamp Meter

    Hello.. meseta809

first off all it's not necessary to have the TV on to reset it. the problem is the dmd need to send the info that you have a working lamp.

try this to see if it work's

Panasonic TY-LA1000 TV Lamp Reset Procedure/instructions:
Ok, so apparently there are a couple of different ways forum members have found out how to reset their Panasonic Lamp timer (this should apply to all of them, not just the TY-LA1000 specific lamp)

“Hold the VOL down button on the TV and the SPLIT button on the REMOTE for five seconds”

Again, you will need to press the Volume button on the TV while pressing hte SPLIT button on the Remote Control for five seconds, it will NOT work if you try to do it both from your remote!

How do i reset the hour meter on my panisonic

Consult Your owners Manual but this works for most Panasonics

    Turn on Power
Press and hold the "vol-" button on the front of unit and the "split" key on the remote together for over 5sec.

Screen should say " Lamp time was reset to 0"

I want to program my remote control to work with my direct t.v.

Look in the user manual for your remote.
You should find a table with brands and types of devices.
Your direct tv should be listed as such.
There will be a number code for the direct tv that you will need to program the remote with.
The manual should also tell you what buttons to press in order to program.
Otherwise, have only the direct tv receiver ON.
point your remote at it and press the tv button and then the power button on the remote and hold it down while pressing the cursor up and down buttons. (not channel up and down. The up and down are the ones to select other things on the remote with.
When you have the right code the tv will shut off.
After it has shut off stop pushing buttons and then press the power button on the remote.
Your direct tv should now be programmed to turn on and off with the remote.
Note: be sure when you turn various devices on or off, have it selected for that devices you are trying to turn on or off.
