Hp officejet v40xi for Macbook pro

Hi, I've been using this printer on my TP, WINXP.  Now I just got a macbook pro and I want to use this printer.  What driver I can use? and where to down load it? thanks

See my link and goto hp and download driver to suit if supported and dont bother cause I just checked and it is not support on macs see specs that state same.

Will my HP Officejet v40xi All-in-One Printer work with my new macbook?

This printer is not supported by HP under Mac OSX. You may be able to get it to print with limited functionality suing a generic driver, but none of the specialized functions such as scanning will work.
However, installing an emulater program such as VMWare or Parallels will allow you to run Windows on your Macbook. You could then download the driver from HP's website here:
and use the printer from within Windows.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909 does not print wirelessly from my MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard). How can I get it to print wirelessly?

i cant print what happening. Its telling me to load paper but i have paper in slot. This started happening after a paper jam.

you must have the software provided by HP to use the scanner (or another application designed for that purpose) go here select your printer from the list then select OS X and there should be a download link to the original software for Mac OS X and/or a replacement cd

your problem is simple.
you must download the latest driver software and utility for an perfect compatibility with the new MacBook Pro 17".

please follow this link:

select correct OS, and get download.

Before install the new driver and software, please uninstall the old driver and software.

Change printer options on Macbook Pro (Leopard)

Hi susan,

Your printer may, not have the same operating system to use. with your mac. For example your printer may only run on window as mac O/S is diffrent from windows that why you can not change the setting on you macbook pro.there might be some up to date drivers for you printer on the internet that may help you solve you problem
