Hello,
You should make it a habit to clear calculator memory before a new type of problems, Graphing, Statistics, Geometry, Financial etc. It will spare you a lot of grief.

To reset the RAM, press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:ALL RAM][2:RESET] [ENTER][ENTER]. Then Press [CLEAR] to clear the message RAM...

You may have to adjust contrast after the operation. For that you press
1. Press [2nd] and release the key.
2. Press [ArrowUp] to increase contrast or [ArrowDown] to decrease it.
3. Repeat Step1 and Step2 in sequence until contrast is adequate.

Do not mix ArrowUp and ArrowDown: because effects cancel one another. You may have to repeat the sequence several times.

If there are no hardware problems, this should work
Hope it helps. If it does not, well, remember I tried.

My TI-84 Plus won't let me graph trigonometric functions.

Is it somehow preventing you from graphing, or are you simply not getting the graph you expect?

Most likely you have the angular mode set wrong. You probably want it set to radians. Press MODE, move to the third line, highlight RADIAN, press ENTER, then 2ND [QUIT].

If it's not the angular mode, please reply to this post and give an example or two.

My TI-84 Plus graphing feature is connecting my trig functions across the asymptote. How do I make it stop doing this?

Press MODE and change "Connected" to "Dot".

If the application Transfrm has been executed, it lingers in RAM and takes over the graphing capabilities of the native OS. This prevents you from drawing more than one graph. You must unload it from memory.
  1. Press the [APPS] key.
  2. Scroll down to the line that shows Transfrm.
  3. Highlight it and press [ENTER].
  4. In following screen you are invited to uninstall or continue.
  5. Press the number to the left of Uninstall. Validate if need be.
  6. Return to the Y= editor to type in functions to graph.

Hello,
Please, read the following, even if you already know some of its contents.
  1. Once you enter an equation, the corresponding equal sign is highlighted by default.
  2. Before you draw the 2 graphs, move the cursor to Y3 or Y4 and verify that the = signs for Y1 and Y2 remain highlighted.
  3. If one is not highlighted, move the cursor on it and press ENTER.
  4. If you still have problem, press [2nd][STATPLOTS][4: PlotsOff] [ENTER].
  5. Command PlotsOff echoes on main screen.
  6. Press [ENTER], screen displays Done.

Graph and trace buttons don't work

This is probably because you have the stat plot on. You would need to go to y= and then go to the top where it says stat plot 1 and un highlight it if it is highligted. That should fix your problem.

Graph and trace buttons don't work

If either error occurs when trying to graph a function (not a STAT PLOT), the error can be corrected by turning off the STAT PLOTS. The following steps will turn the STAT PLOTS off, allowing the graph of the function to be displayed.• Press [2nd] [Y=] to access the STAT PLOTS menu.
• Select 4: PlotsOff.
• Press [ENTER].
• Try graphing a function like y = x^4-3x^3+6x-1
