When I put a game in my NES there are wavy lines moving down the screen. They disappear after like 5 min of playing but it's really annoying. Any way I can fix this?

A good option would be to clean the actual game counsel cartrage slot. Don't blow into it, but if you take it apart a bit you can clean it with rubbing aclohol. This does not damage anything, you can also do this to the cartrages themselves. You can clean the connectors this way and it should hlep.

My super nintendo has green lines that keep running down the tv screen from top to bottom. Everything else works fine and you can still play but the green lines are really annoying.

Well the reson why there are lines in it becuase its starting to wear out the connections or if you are using the av cables or an rf switch it might need a new av cable or and rf switch then.

My super nintendo will not stay on. the image turns to moving green and red lines and then disappears.

Well I think that the super NES console is broken by now because if you can't get it to work any more but first try cleaning the gamepacks out with qutips and rubbing alcohal if no luck after you tried that. Your SNES console has gone to video game heaven then.

The red light flashes on my NES and on the TV screen, it keeps on changing colors. Do you know whats wrong?

The NES is touchy like that, sadly-- your problem isn't uncommon. My NES, and the NES of nearly every friend I have who still owns one, plays this little trick on them from time to time. Here's what we do:

1. Turn off the NES console.
2. Blow into bottom of the game, near the chip that connects to the NES.
3. Wipe away any excess dust from the game itself.
4. Blow into the console of the NES.
5. Wipe away any excess dust.
6. Re-insert the game and try again.

If this doesn't work, try placing the game in more delicately, or with more force. It's just a matter of trial and error, and sometimes it will work faster than others. Hope this helped!

I have 2 green lines that move horizontally down my screen when i play my snes... any ideas how to fix this guys...the tv is not lcd but a tube tv

Well it is caused by a broken or a loose connection the so try buying a new rf switch or av cables to see if it works if not then the bad news is that the super NES console is on its way out then. 5
5 STARS IF THIS WORKS.
Or try cleaning the gamepacks out too with qutips and rubbing alcohal. logo.png

NES Two thick vertical striped lines on screen

This is a result of faulty or dying dip I.C.'s on the TV's Logic Board. There are several that span the width of the TV, when one goes faulty it results in a vertical line.. often yellow. The Logic Board is most likely small, containing at least one big chip wich is the micro... Contact you TV manufacturer and try to get a replacement.

Good luck.

NES two thick dotted vertical lines on screen

Well I think that the rf switch is causing this problem so use the NES av cable to see if it makes a difference then.

Why do I have vertical white lines when I put any game into the NES system? Games will play but lines are annoying!

thats cause your connector is going bad probably. to verify this, instead of using the RF connector, use the a/v cables and if you get white lines either way then you know the connector inside of the NES needs to be changed.

Nes flashing black and white and making a horrible sound

a 'front load' nes ALWAYS does this, even if the connector pins inside the console are new. the cartriges on a Front Load nes rarely completely seat, as Nintendo redesigned the Famicom very poorly for the US market. try this 1. put the cart in as usual, but hold it all the way down 2. slip an unwanted/extra cart in on top of the metal hoop above the cart your using. this gives a better contact for the cart. try cleaning the cartrige pins as well. some won't read right if there's ANYTHING on the pins.

NES console - white or green tv screen

first off flip your nes upside down and remove the screws to the cover of nes..... then flip your nintendo over and remove the cover.... remember you just voided your warranty for your nes..... then proceed to do the following:

find Chip 3193A and find the 4th pin on the left hand side near the blue coils. Remove or pull back the pin and your NES Will play Pal and NTCS games.
