How to remove write-protection on a micro sd card

  1. Connect the microSD card to a computer
Use a memory card reader to connect the microSD card to a computer for formatting. In case you're using an SD card adapter, ensure that the write protection key is in the unlock position.
  2. Locate the card Right-click My Computer, and click Manage. Go to the Disk Management tab on the left pane, and locate your microSD card from the list of available disks.
  3. Format the microSD card Right-click on the microSD card's drive, and click Format. This eliminates all data, including corrupted files that cause write protection in storage devices

L can not copy anything to SD card it says remove writer protection

Take your memory card out of the camera and switch the position of the "lock" tab. One position is for "locked" (i.e., "Write Protected") and the other position will allow the card to be written to (unlocked). Some cameras have image protection built into the on-camera software and you may need to configure this there.

SD cards (and microSD adapters) have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

SIR my sndisk 2GB mamory card is locked .i forgot the password .how can i unlock my mamory card ?

Hi!
SD cards (or MicroSD, using ad adapter) are locked using a mechanical switch on their left side, and not using password! Simply, take the SD card (or the SD adapter) and change the switch position.
Usually the UP position is the Unlocked position...

Best regards,
Pelu.

Formatting time it shows write protected error

SD cards nad microSD adaptors have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

How can i reformat my sd memory card? while it has a password that i forgot

On a PC with SD card slot, an SD card is handled pretty much the same way as any removable media. External SD card reader/writer devices with USB connectivity come for 10-20 US$.
Make sure the little slider on the side of the SD is not set to "write protect" and you format it just like a floppy disk (Windows: right click on the media icon, and select "Format").

Olympus 840, writers protect

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Setup- Select Format - You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the card can be used again.

Re-format it. Put the SanDisk 2GB microSD memory card into your LG enV2 and format it from there. If that does not work plug it into your laptop then right click the icon and format it to FAT and click on default settings.
