Discontinue use of that element immediately and remove and discard when cool. Go to a parts place and replace with appropriate part. The element is worn out and is unusable.

How do I replace the bottom oven element on my Maytag CWE5800?

This shouldn't be too difficult. Make sure the power is off. Remove the screws that hold the oven element in place. carefully pull the element out from the back wall without losing the wires back in the holes. Install the wire on the new element push it back in the wall. Reinstall the screws and you are set. Turn the power back on and check to make sure the oven cycles when it reaches the set temperature.

Sharp r-930ak microwave oven is sparking

A dirty or damaged wave guide cover can cause sparks, fire and noises. You can order a replacement wave guide cover from many appliance parts websites for less than $15 in many cases. It should fix the problem.

My 1990 maxima is sparking from the coil but is getting no spark otherwise

sparking from the coil when you crank it over and test it? replae the distributor cap and rotor.... did you have it apart before this problem started? is the rotor in correctly?

Sometimes you get carbon build up in the cap or on the rotor that causes the spark to go other places than where you want it.

Peace,

Grill ignition is sparking when the oven is on

if the grill is constant sparking when the oven was on and turns off when the oven is not in use then u either have a defective pcb/ht lead or electrode if it is self lighting or if you have to push in a button then this button or control will have a problem

The Magnetron has failed, causing the waveguide to become damaged. If the waveguide is damaged/burned the microwave can not be repaired and should be replaced.

The cover is probably the magenetron. That is where the microwaves come from. If the bread was moist, it might have left condensate in the unit which is causing the sparking. Unplug the unit, leave the door open over night. If you can remove that cover, do so. Be sure to carefully replace it before using the unit. Never turn on a microwave with nothing in it.
