Screen is almost black and figures wavy. set is only 4 months old.

Before calling a repairman, check the menu, if you see the problem on the menu then the set needs servicing, if not try one of the other inputs to make sure it is not the tv source that is causing your problem.

I don't want to go into details for you to fix it because if it is only 4 months old, you need to call for service. These tv's are all board replacement and are expensive to fix even on your own. Since it is in warranty defiantly get a sony authorized repair service to repair the set, the owner’s manual will have sony's phone number in it call them to get a service scheduled.
