Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

When I use the HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One to scan, it only scans a fraction of document.

Try uninstalling the driver and restart your system.Then re-install the driver as if like you are adding a new hardware to the pc.Run and test and it this time it fails then you have a fault on the hardware of the printer.

Click on the Software & Driver Downloads link, then select your operating system from the drop down menu.

You can download the software or order a CD.

If you tried to install the older software, uninstall it before loading the new.

All of my copies and scans have a yellow background. This does not happen when I print a document directly.


You might be scanning and copying in full color even for regular documents. When you do this, it treats the document as a photograph or color document and therefore, the background, even if white, is scanned in as a bit yellow

I can scan using HP director by loading one page at a time on glass, but when I try to use the "scan to" button on the printer, it lets me select computer, then I choose save to a file and it comes back...


I had this problem and had to re-install the software. It might have been caused by installing a second HP printer, or perhaps from unplugging the printer to move it. Don't know.

Unable to copy from scanning bed


There is probably a little switch that gets tripped when the document feeder is in correctly. This is preventing you from scanning from the glass.

Hi Elizabeth,

This is a common complaint.. Are you running Vista, by any chance? The all in one solution software you used in XP doesn't work fully with Vista.

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

1. Click on files tab at the top in Window Photo Gallery.
2. Click on import from camera or scanner.
3. Highlight your scanner icon (ie HP Pro L7650) then click import.
4. New scan window will popup, now you can preview or scan using this basic looking Vista utility.

can only be that the settings in the toolbox are incorrect. Its probably set for the wrong program. Open the toolbox on your computer and check the scan to mail settings.

Document feeder works for printing but not for scanning


Hi, When you had the doucment feed jam were you able to clean or remove any paper that might be blocking the paper to be scanned? It sounds like there is paper still in the document feeder , I would open the DF and check very closely to make sure no paper is in the way!Good Luck!
