Flickering/pixelating screen on LTV-27w6 HD after 30 minutes.

After watching my Westinghouse LTV-27w6 HD TV for about 30 minutes the picture starts to pixelate (green) and flicker. Faces become doughy and start to look like animation. After another 15 minutes it clears up somewhat, but still flickers/pulsates in the background. How can I fix this?

Within 10-30min the screen colors screw up

This is an easy fix. You must remove the shielding tape on the connector where the main video cable connects to the t-con board. The t-con board is underneath the mainboard chassis. I had to do the same repair on my LTV-32W3 32".

TV should be looked at by a qualified technician. The problem could be in the Power Supply PCB, Main PCB or Tcon PCB. Using cold spray is the quickest way to determine which board is faulty.

My Westinghouse LTV-27w6-HD picture is scrambled periodically

Before you bother to read the text below, you might be better served looking at this thread:
Westinghouse troubles
If you aren't nauseated yet, continue with my original reply:
If the picture seems 'pixelated,' broken up into randomly sized and placed blocks, then it is losing synchronization with the digital signal coming in. This is certainly repairable and may be due to lousy assembly quality rather than a failed part. Most of our modern sets are assembled by robots but there is a degree of manual soldering still to be done and this can result in 'cold' solder joints that can fracture and fail due to heating and cooling of the innards of a set.
Unfortunately, unless you have a semi-retired TV service man in your neighborhood who is already financially independent, the labor costs could run fairly high for this kind of service since it requires methodical searching of the circuitry and could eat up some time.

Good picture for 30 minutes then colors change!

Bad LCD controller, see sample here (note, I removed the cover off the board so you can see it):

Be real careful when you remove the back cover, the side switch assembly is attached to the back cover, so do not yank it too hard!

Video problems with my westinghouse LTV 32 W 3 HD

This seems to be associated with the overheating of some component. On my set I need to check that the backlight is set to a low level. On reset it automatically adjusts to a level above maximum and the green screen will appear in a few minutes. I took the back off and that helped some.

Flickering and Jumping Picture

The problem in your tv is not external.
The problem is in the power supplies internal filtering.
On the primary side of the power supply main board you will find
a large electrolytic capacitor very near the fuse and the primary transformer( the small one). Next to this capacitor you will find a
large 5 watt diode.( black with a silver band at one end). Next to this you will find one lone 1/4 watt resistor. This resistor in conjuction with large electrolytic capacitor is responcible for the internal filtering of the high voltage side of the board. As your unit heats up( anywhere fron 5 to 30 mins) you will notice horizontal
flickering and prior to that red or green or even purple pixelation.
Check this 1/4 watt resistor for dark discoloration and or a bad solder joint on the solder side of the board. This resistor
is directly responcible for controlling the bias current to the high voltage regulators for the 160 volts DC. At no time should you handle or troubleshoot this board with the line plug in.
Even when this board is powered down that capacitor still holds a charge for up to an hour and can knock your you know what
in your sock. If you do not feel comfortable please take the board to someone else. Hope this helps.

Have you unplugged the set from AC power? Not just 'turn it off' but physically remove the power cord for 1 minute. Often this 'resets' internal circuitry when a 'power off' will not.
