Hello, the best solution that I can give you is to look at the exact name of the manufacturer of your MP3, then go to their website, click on support, and there you should be able to download the drivers.
I you cant get it there, kindly let me know.

What's free 4mb of space mean?

if your device tells you that it is a 512Mb that is the total space on the device, if it is telling you 4mb of space it means there is only 4 more mega bytes available for you to store music, information, etc. some songs take up to 9 or 10 Mb so just do your math. and that is the number of songs you can load to your device.

if it works for you, don't forget to rate me
thx

To be perfectly honest, I don't quite know what I've done to my MP3 player. Earlier, it was working... And now it isn't. It tells me something along the lines of ''Needs 20 MB more space''. PRessing the...

Hello,

The 'Needs ... more space' alert means that the player has no memory left, to build up the library for play back.

When you're able to delete a part of the media off the player, this could solve your problem.
If the media device shouldn't respond to any action on the player itself, backup the media to your computer and delete some files from the player being connected to the computer.

Need more help ?
Reveal your model number of the player in a new comment in this thread: look on the internet page http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/categories.aspx?product=317&post=4 under mp3 Players for the matching one.

Computer is sayin the mp3 is full but there is nothing on it

Suddenly my centon 4GB wasn't allowing me to add mp3s to it as it said it didn't have any more space but I knew it did because I had just deleted a couple gigs. I figured out that there's an "invisible" recycle folder on the mp3 player that has the files you've deleted still stored in it.

To fix do this:

1. plug your mp3 player into the USB port.

2. Find out the letter of the drive it appears as.
ex. let's say the external drive it appears as is F:\

3. Now go to:

Start
Run
Type in: F:\recycled

4. Click on File on the top toolbar

5. Click Empty Recycle Bin

Your free space on your mp3 player should now successfully be retrieved!

Profiling requires 4mb free space; reformat required

1. Disconnect the player.

2. Download the new driver from http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/

3. Install the software on your computer, then run it.

4. Reset your player by either pressing the reset button or removing the AA-battery from the player.

5. While holding down the "Play" key on your player, connect it to the PC via the USB cable. Release the "Play" key when you see the progress bar moving and "initializing" text. If you cannot see the "initializing" text, please disconnect your player and try again.

6. Click the "Start" button to upgrade your player

Mp3 compressor

The mp3 files are already compressed - lower the bit rate to make them take up less space. Warning: you will not save much add'l space by compressing them further.
