My Kenmore top freezer clunks when the compressor shuts off. It did this some weeks ago for a day, then stopped. It has started to do it again--but not always. Is there something I can check? Everything else works just fine. If it is a bad compressor is it worth fixing base don age? Many thanks.
its the compressor,
i would not spend a dime on it,
a compressor is around 200 to put it in could cost up to 200 more, then its a long shot with who will be doing the work
10 years is the avergae age of this unit so count your self lucky
and invest in a replacement
the old one may
last a year, but it will go
your loosing the center seal
sorry its not beeter news
