Question about Poulan Garden

1 Answer

My poulan leaf blower doesnt seem to have spark. So I pulled out the spark plug and dryed it out while i watched football, that counts as "fixin" time, doesnt it? I went to put it in this morning and dropped it. Just want to know the correct gap on the plug

I have a poulan leaf blower that will not start.it sat for 2 years started once for about a minute

get a new plug and then check for spark. a spark checker is a better choice...and since I would be more inclined to believe you're not getting any fuel replace the carb and fuel lines. it's a waist of time trying anything else. just because you have fuel in the primer DOES NOT mean gas is getting to the engine. If you DO NOT have spark, but you have fuel, your spark plug WILL be fuel fouled (soaked with fuel)

I can't get my Poulon leaf blower to start

So far everything looks good. You're getting fuel, and you're getting spark. Only problem, is you've gotten too much fuel in it, and need to get rid of some before you can proceed. Take that spark plug out, and pull the starting rope hard several times. This will force the largest amounts of fuel out. Now's the part where you'll have to trust me. Use a match or a lighter to "flash" the cylinder. Make sure you don't have excess fuel spilled over the blower, but hold that match or lighter right up to the spark plug hole, and it'll "puff" at you. Please don't look into the hole while you're doing this. Flash the cylinder, and then pull the rope again, and flash it again. Next, make sure the spark plug is dry then put it back in. Set your choke to full choke, and pull until it hits once. Then put the choke on half, and it should start within 3 pulls.

Poulan bvm pro 200 gas blower not getting gas

As a service center for Poulan products the usual problems for not starting I see is compression or the cylinder has come loose from the crankcase. Compression needs to be 115 psi minimum. If you remove the plastic muffler cover you can see the cylinder-crankcase joint. Wiggle the spark plug to look for any movement at that joint. If there is any movement the cylinder screws are loose.

Poulan has an excellent 2 year warranty and any service center should be happy to repair it under warranty for any problem.
