Question about Sanyo Katana SCP-6600 Cellular Phone
I have a Katana and it will not power up. I sent it in for repair and the report says water traces found around keyboard, screws and contact area. The battery does not show water damage and it has not been wet outside of using it with damp hands or wiping it down with a damp cloth for cleaning. We have swapped batteries with another Katana and still nothing and other phone works fine. Warranty place says water damage but has not proof such as a color dot or battery dot color change. Just says they did a swipe test and found traces of water as described above and rejected claim.
I must say that Wiska, cell phone are water accepting thing. It absorb water from climate like AC and fog. If it is realy damaged by falling in water then the service people can deny the claim. Otherwise there is no moral right to reject claim of valued customers. OK... It is their lookout. Let us discuss the problem. Now u can not do anything if they are not ready to accept their responsibility. But don't worry, there is another way. Any skilled technician can repair it after check wether it is short, open or leakage. This things are basic which are their routin testing of any circuit. There are lot of technician who posssess enough skills to workout this problem. Only ask fixya for such serviceman arround you.
