Question about Dell A960 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I spent the better part of 3 hours with a Dell Technician and at the end of a gruelling exercise all they could tell me was that my A960 does not appear to be compatible with Vista. They then recommended that I run XP and Vista at the same time so that I could use my printer - crazy!! Has anybody ran up against this issue and have a resolution? Please....
Never install a new operating system for at least 18 months. 55% of people that use Vista are having problems. There is a patch/upgrade for Vista at Dell dated 9/10/2007 There is also a newer driver for Vista dated 4/5/2007.
Here is the link for both: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WLH&osl=EN&catid=-1&impid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A960&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en
I wish all of you luck!

Did anyone find a way to get a A960 printer to work on Vista 64

The 55% of the people having Vista problems are using obsolete hardware or have no idea what they are doing. you need to start blaming the hardware manufacturers for not creating drivers for windows vista. they're simply slowing down the evolutionary progression of software. in addition, the Dell A960 is based off a horrible Lexmark printer. So it's not even Dell or Microsoft's fault. Blame Lexmark!

I have the exact same problem as crc3. I can't tell by reading the info on the Dell website that map9966 posted whether or not installing the 4/5 and 9/10 files will destroy my ability to still print from my XP desktop. I tried downloading both. Now, sometimes I can print from my XP, sometimes I can't. My Vista XP appears to have installed the printer, but every time I try to print, my XP completely locks up and nothing prints. It looks like I'm completely hosed now. How do I back out and start all over again?
