i hooked up the receiver-cable box-tv with hdmi cable and the other 4 cables, red white yellow and orange, just like the quick setup shows. my tv has no signal error message. I called service and repeated the steps they gave me, same as I had done, was told maybe hdmi board bad and to return. I did have audio but was from cables and not from hdmi cable which doesn't support audio.
I returned, pain in butt, heavy and large and I have bad back. had to remove from box in car and then had to repack in car.
I got new one and still have no signal to TV, must be me, can't have 2 in the row bad. I only brought in the receiver this time.
I have the new Verizon fios cable, could this be problem, I have audio, so shouldn't be an issue.

I have sw347-dv7 video door intercom.i wired it up using 60w speaker cable& smoke came from rear of unit.now nothing works as tried wiring again using cat6 cable

Using the speaker cable was probably overkill but no reason why it shouldn't work if the connections were all correctly made. The smoke suggests the connections weren't correctly made and you killed your unit.
You might be lucky and find it is a burned out bit of printed circuit that could be repaired or it could have damaged electronic components and be cheaper to replace the unit.

Component to HDMI Converter Problem

Does the TV have a plug connection I think is called DVI. There is a DVI to HDMI adapter that also needs an audio connection on TV to work. Other option is audio and video rca cables. You may also need to change input connection to correct source, as it may not be auto for connection

Turned TV on and every channel is a red background. Unplugged, waited and plugged back in...nothing!!! Help!!!

If you are using the component input be sure all three wires green, blue and red are connected at both ends and are in the correct colored jacks. Component input is different than yellow jack which is composit video input. The 3 wirw component video in is progressive scan and all three wires must be connected correctly. Try this first if not replace the main board.

I have a D52W20. I bought a HDMI cord thinking it was what I need, what is it that I DO need for HD?

To correctly get HD, you need to satisfy three things.

First you need an HD tv.

Second you need an HD signal. IE.. HD cable box, Blu Ray etc..

Last, you need either HDMI wires or Components wires.

Hook the HD box up to the TV with component wires(I believe you tv doesn't have hdmi connections), go to the correct input and enjoy.

I need the code for sharp tv please

Configuring codes:
  1. Turn on the component that you want to set up. In the code listing find the 4-digit code numbers for your component brand.
  2. Hold the component key down until the green indicator light comes on. The green light should come on after approximately 3 seconds.
  3. Release the component key.
  4. If you are programming the DVD or CD device press the "action" key. The red indicator light will come on.
  5. Within thirty seconds, enter in a 4-digit code number. The component key lights will blink with an upward motion when a code has been successfully entered. In this case proceed to step #5. If the code has not been successfully entered, the componment lights will not blink. In this case return to strep #1 and start over.
  6. Test code by pressing "Power" key. If the component turns off, you've got the right code. Follow the same instructions to set up your other components. If the component doesn't turn off, return to step 2 and use the next 4-digit code listed. Note: If none of the codes turn your component off, try the Auto Code Scan function.

Auto Code Scan:
The Auto Code Scan feature allows you to set up your components without having to enter in code numbers. The Jensen will do the work for you! (It may take a few minutes to find your code using this method.)
  1. Turn on the component that you want to set up.
  2. Hold the component key down until the light comes on. The green light should come on after approximately 3 seconds.
  3. Release the component key.
  4. If you are programming the DVD or CD device press the "action" key. The red indicator light will come on.
  5. Press "0" - "9" The green light will blink as codes are sent.
  6. As soon as the remote turns your component off, press the "action" key. (You have 1 second in which to press the "action" key to save the code.) The component key lights will blink with an upward motion when a code has been successfully entered. The component is now programmed. To find that code, proceed to Code Readback.
  7. If none of the codes turn your component off, return to step 2 and start over.

Code Readback:
  1. Hold the component key down until the green indicator light comes on. The green light should come on after approximately 3 seconds.
  2. Release the component key.
  3. If you are programming the DVD or CD device press the "action" key. The red indicator light will come on.
  4. Press the "enter" key.
  5. Count the number of times the green light blinks. There will be four numbers, separated by a two second pause. The red light will tum off after the remote is finished reading numbers back. Make sure you write the code number below for future use!

Multi-Component Power On/Off:
The Jensen remote has the ability to turn On/Off multiple components at once. When you perform the following steps, you can turn On/Off the TV, VCR, Satellite, Cable Box and Audio Receiver.
  1. Press the "action" key.
  2. Press the "power" key. Note: This feature does not work for DVD and CD.

Volume Priority Punch-Through:
When you press the volume keys on the remote they will control the volume on your TV. If you have a home theater system and want the volume keys to control your receiver only, you may set your volume priority to the receiver.
  1. Hold the "RCVR" key down until the green indicator light comes on. The green light should come on after about 3 seconds.
  2. Press "RCVR" key.
  3. Press "Vol+" key. To disable the volume priority you have to set and return to the default.
To change back to TV priority:
  1. Hold the "RCVR" key down until the green indicator light comes on. The green light should come on after about 3 seconds.
  2. Press "RCVR" key.
  3. Press "Vol-" key. The volume priority will now default to the TV volume.
hope this helps

Wiring connection from tv to receiver

There's an audio out that will work - it's controlled by the TV volume. I've found that it works best to connect the components (DVD, etc...) direct to the amp.

Video distortion

Only thing I can suggest would be:
A. Look for any magnetic or other interference on any of the cables if there are bare wires somewhere.

B. Get a separate video switcher or run all your video to TV. If you are using component, the signal is a low quality anyways, but the same can happen to any type of connection
