The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
Hi, Well, while still perfectly usable, SD9 is not exactly a recent model (introduced in 2002), so I can imagine your repairman might have problems locating parts for it. I would suggest looking for a broken "donor" camera to get the cover from on ebay, craigslist, etc-it might be faster than trying to locate a new part. Good luck, Raf
hi there
no you don't
just plug the camera in
open (my) computer
look for a hard drive icon that wasn.t there before (this will be your camera hard drive)
open it and inside will be 2 or 3 folders
one of them will have your jpegs in it
copy and paste to wherever you want.
