This error e26 gets thrown up on some digital rights management programs.this really just means you are not allowed to record...ever increasingly thanks to the big corps like sony drm carrier signals are put into some broadcasts to overcome copying infringements.there still is a way to do this with the right equipment.some tv channels get revenue from their advert counts so they put these signals in to ensure that you can only watch at broadcast or catchup on certain devices.what I can't figure out is I can record anything whilst it's being aired and still transfer to older equipment but not anything with latest ios and certainly not with sony recorders.

What does check DAB mean

Dab means Digital Audio Broadcast. It is a radio and a high description radio. It is an audio broadcasting in which the analogue audio is converted into a digital signal and henceforth transmitted on an assigned channel (usually AM or FM frequency range). It put forward CD class audio on the FM broadcast band and to put forward AM class broadcast band on the AM.

Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. Take off the cover, with the circuit side down, take a plastic tuning tool, you can get one at your local electronics store. turn your channel select to midway of the band. make sure your modulation is turned off. Key your mic and tune VR13 to the Maximum on the watt meter. this is for the power. Next, locate VR14 turn the modulation up, and say ahhhhhhhhh, repeat if needed. Thanks for choosing FixYa....John

Even if you have the correct disk and the correct setting in the recorder, if the CPRM tag in the broadcasted program is set to deny all recording then your recorder will not record it. Sadly but it's just that simple.

Local Comcast provider is switching to more digital programming

you will need the adapter and the good news is, the box is free, the downside to this is the panasonic recorder is going to need to only record on channel 3 or 4(there is a switch on the back of the comcast box) and the comcast box will need to be on the channel the program is on. I.E. Panasonic recording channel 3 or 4 from 10-11 am comcast box on channel 55 during that time.

I have Rabbit Ears on an analog TV using a Zenith digital converter box. But how do I tape a TV show on my VCR that I'm not watching? I purchased another digital converter box to attach to the VCR but what...

The only way you can tape a different show than you're watching is to do as you have done: purchase a second converter box and connect it to the VCR as you did with the TV. You can pick up a device called a splitter which will allow you to divide the antenna signal between the two boxes.

There are some problems with the splitter arrangement. If you need to adjust the antenna position to get a good signal on one channel, like the one you want to watch, that may mean it isn't in the best position for another, like the one you want to record. You might need two antennas for the best performance.

Also, you can't program recording on different channels at different times unless you'll be home to change channels on the converter box. The VCR will only find a signal on channel 3 or 4, depending on how you set up the box, and you'll always record on that channel. The TV channel you record will be chosen by the converter.

Finally, you need to connect both the VCR and the converter box to a single antenna connection on your TV. There are two ways to do this. One is to use a splitter again. Normally they are used to split a single antenna input to two ouputs, but they can also combine to inputs into one output (basically you just use it backwards). Connect the ouputs from the box and VCR to the splitter's output connectors, and then go from the splitter's input connector to the TV antenna connector. This arrangement may not give the best picture quality, though. An alternative is to use an "A/B" switch, which allows you to choose which source connects to the TV.

It sounds more complicated to hook up than it actually is. It is more complicated and less flexible to use this setup than it was before the switch to digital broadcasting, but they call this "progress."

Hope this helps. If you need more information, just post a followup comment!

Hd radio

hd ready means you need an optional adapter to recieve HD radio broadcasts (digital reception will be without static, and often have sidebands extra music on the same channel) provided there are broadcasters in your area transmitting HD signals most major cities have many HD providers. And many smaller areas now too.
