Your best bet is to just purchase another pedal. They are about $35 and simply connect to the wiring just like your old pedal.

Did you leave the foot control with the machine when it was service? I normally will not keep the foot control when I check a machine in for service as long as the owner feels it works okay. The cord must be firmly seated in the back of the foot control. Some people have had a loose cord for 10 years and never realized that it just isn't fully inserted. Also, make sure that it fits fully into the machine. Sometimes they feel like they go in but a second try lets them drop in fully and work normally.Beyond that, you should probably have the person who tuned it up for you have another look at it. Is it still within it's warranty period from the tune up. Most dealers won't mind taking a look and advising you on what is going on.

Problems threading bobbin

Although you have a Husqvarna sewing machine, the graphics and instructions at Singer are the same as for other brands.

http://www.singerco.com/resources/operation_basics.html

Choose the type bobbin your machine has - one is vertical with a metal case and the other type is a horizontal drop-in type.

The site also shows how to raise the bobbin thread.

When threading any sewing machine, be sure to do so with the presser foot up. Not doing so can have a negative impact on how the tension control works and the quality of the stitch.

Pfaff 2020 Foot Pedal--taken apart; need help putting back tog.

Are you able to post a picture of what pieces you have? The contact board may not be pressed down all the way or the contact itself may be bent. You should be able to purchase both pieces if needed from a pfaff dealer.
