Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P31 Digital Camera
Memory Stick up to 128MB is only compatible with this Camera. A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached to use Memory Stick Duo™ or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media.

It is an old camera. It was introduced in 2002. The spec's I looked up just say memory stick, and memory included "8MB Memory Stick". I looked the MSAC-M2 up on line and it looks a like it's a "Memory Stick Duo Adapter" not a memory stick. I'd try one that is sold as a "Memory Stick".
