If you really want to transfer your pictures from your camera to your computer, with a cable, then reinstall the Cd provided with the camera, that should fix the problem.
But in any case the best way to transfer what's on the camera is to take the memoy card out and plug it inside a card reader on your computer. You can buy one for less than 30$ if you don't have it on your computer. Transfering the pictures this way is much faster, and it saves your camera's battery
Your shutter is not firing correctly.
To confirm this try taking video as this mode does not use the shutter.
Lines on your photo's mean over exposure due to the shutter not closing over the lens completely.
Lens will have to be dismantled and cleaned
