Error code 0x9105 when verifying recovery disc & won't work

Bought new laptop yesterday, it came up with a pop up to burn the recovery discs, I have done this, it all works fine by burning it onto disc but as soon as it finishes verifying it comes up with the error code 0x9105 and won't let me put any other disc, it says please insert blank disc and when I do it won't accept it at all. Please help as would like to burn these recovery discs asap. thanks

Acer Technical support is **** - I had exactly the same problem with a 5536 bought last week, which had been upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate - "Restore Factory Settings" they said - so I did - Windows 7 disappeared all together, MicroSoft OfficeSuite also went up in smoke, I was left with Vista Home and Acer giving me all sorts of 'perhaps'es and advice that only they or complete computer geeks would ever have a hope of understanding - consequently laptop went back to seller - I hope I never have the pleasure of dealing with Acer support again!!

From Dee: No they won't I tried I have a brand new computer Win Vista Home Prem 64bit, first time use out the box, and their fix was to send you a recovery disc, which they say is out of stock and may become available in 7 to 10 business days, imagine that, which has an image of the system, well it occurred if it is an exact copy of what I have presently why would the out come be different from what's happening now.

That means the system cannot complete a restore disc.
Download the OS from Microsoft as an ISO or contact your system supplier/manufacturer for a disc.

Won't burn DVD data discs, error code 0x207


Have you looked at this from ACER: http://acer--uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3410/~/error-code-0x207-shows-during-recovery-dvd-creation I'm sure you already know it seems to be a common problem. Every post seems to point to Media type , can't use RW disk, +or-, seems kink of finicky which seems odd. Only use DVD+R or DVD-R.

Error : 10-FC12-0570 when i try to reinstall with the cds


Error 10-FC12-0570 on Toshiba satellite This error message means that the recovery utility was not able to read the data from the disc correctly, or wasn't able to write it to the hard drive.
The problem could be with the disc, the CD/DVD drive or the hard drive.


Solution:

Try copying the second disc using another system. If it's impossible: order for a new disc. If you can copy it, try using the copy to do the restore.

Try using a third party disk checker to verify the problem, is or is not, with the hard drive.

The best way would be to load the Windonws Vista discs, format the pc and reinstall.
(Vista Recovery Boot Cd is available free by Microsoft). Download it burn the Image .iso and run that disc. That disc will not restore the OS: run diagnostics on the HDD; once disk check is completed and repaired, proceed with the Recovery disks that you have.

Hi laptop error 203 when making recovery disc 2 using packard bell recovery management. the disc is OK & tried restart and doing it all again disc 1 burns ok. what's the answer please


Try another new dvd and it should be a dvd -r. havn't had good luck with dvd + r or dvd r/w when making recover disks.

never try to reuse a dvd or cd that has given you an error. toss it.

: I bought a Acer One Netbook model AO751H-1948.


to tell u the reality the recovery disks is of no use as per my openion.
as they cant reload the OS in case ur machine crashes....so just have a WinOS CD from which u can reload OS again in case there is any crash,
the recovery disks do work but they wont help you in case you need to reload the OS again.
So just buy a WinOS if ur machine came with preinstalled OS
this is my experience and personal openion, the rest of the decison is left to you.

Cd disc drive on Toshiba laptop pops open when i try to burn disc


Hi,

Please make sure you have enough space available on your disc.Please switch to a new empty disc and let me know if you get the same error.Before trying with a new disc restart your laptop and then burn with the new disc.

Ketanvasu your an idiot....If he's trying to recover the laptop obviously the thing isn't working...so how the hell is he supposed to burn cd's genius?

I work on the Technical support team for a retailer that sells the 6930. It's been confirmed as an error on the optical drive itself and will need to be returned to the place where you bought it or speak to acer directly
