Okay, this seems like either the fuse hase blown in the actual mains plug, or the mass fuse inside the device, it looks like this very small glass fuse, same size as an ordinary fuse, its just seethrough. see if you can get a replacement for it, you may need 2 open the unit to check if it has blown, it will be black or a "burnt" colour from inside! if you dont want to open it, take it to any electronics store, they are bound to check for you, but these fuses don't cost more that $1 or 50pence!

hope this helps

I have a 65" Mitsubishi dlp tv. Now when I connect anything (cable box, blue ray, ps3) to my 3 Hdmi ports the screen will flash like it is trying to receive signal. The picture will show then go away over...

make this test and fix it. God bless you
  1. Verify TV is plugged-in and getting power.
  2. Verify your home's power breaker has not tripped.
  3. Verify the batteries in the remote control are good.
  4. Verify you have selected the right input for Cable/Satellite, antenna, DVD, VCR or Game Console.
  5. Verify the cable/satellite box is plugged in and getting power
  6. Verify you are getting cable/satellite in other parts of the house
  7. Verify the VCR is plugged-in,getting power, and turned on.
  8. Verify that all wires are connected to proper place
  9. Scroll through input screen to verify you are watching the correct inputs
  10. Look at the FAQ on the manufacture's website or user manual

The Basics

Before we explore more complex tv troubleshooting techniques, we need to examine the basics. First, we need to verify the TV is securely plugged into a power outlet. Don't laugh, but failure to plug-in the TV is the number one reason reported why electronics do not work. Second, you need to verify the remote has fresh batteries. This can easily be overlooked. The remote can be working one minute and not working the next, so replace the batteries Finally, verify that all cables and connections are correctly and securely attached.

Simple things first:

Is it powered on? (sorry, I know that's too elementary)
Is it connected properly? (you have a cable securely plugged into your receiver's subwoofer line level output and securely plugged into the subwoofer in in the subwoofer)
Is your system configured properly to send a signal to your subwoofer?
  • Does your receiver have a menu system you can use to manually configure your speakers?
  • If it does, have you told your system that you have a subwoofer?
  • If it does, have you set your other speakers to "small" (believe it or not, even with full-sized floor standing speakers this is a good practice)? Sometimes, if the other speakers are set to Large, an AV receiver may not output a subwoofer signal.
  • Check all the rest of your receiver's speaker parameters through its menu system.
  • On your subwoofer, do you have the Level turned all the way off?
  • Where is the cut-off frequency set? (if it's set too low, and your source material doesn't go down that low, you may not hear anything through it)

Is the cable good? (use a multimeter to check)
Is the receiver outputting a signal through the subwoofer out port? (again, use a multimeter to check)

That's all I can come up with for now. Good luck.

Stopped sensing speed or give resistance

proceed according and fix it. God bless you
  • 1 Press the reset button to reset the system, then unplug the bike from the power outlet. Wait about five minutes, then plug in the bike and reset the system again. This usually solves most computericon1.png glitches or error readings.
  • 2 Check all basic connections first if the system won't turn on, or the display is partially functioning or not functioning at all. Ensure that the plug is securely plugged into a proper working outlet. Check to ensure that the cable is securely plugged into the front of the system, and that the cable doesn't appear damaged. If the cable is damaged, replace it immediately.

  • 3 Inspect the system display visually, looking closely for cracks. Also check to see if humidity has caused moisture to enter the screen. If so, you may need to replace the display.
  • 4 Check all connection points and latches. Latches should be lined up with all connectors and be securely in position. Push on the connection and listen for the snap when the latch locks into place. The computer or circuit board may need replacement if all connections are fine and the display isn't operating properly.
  • 5 Check all connections for the HR (Heart Rate) sensors. Check to ensure that both HR connections from the handlebars and the cable box are secure. Apply a conductive electrode creme to the handlebar sensor to see it produces a better connection. You may have to replace the handlebars or cable if no connection is being produced.
  • 6 Check to ensure the RPM sensor is properly aligned with the magnet on the flywheel and that the connection is secure on the RPM data cable. Reposition the sensor if it's not aligned properly; replace the cable if the connections are broken or the cable is visibly damaged.
  • 7 Move the bikeicon1.png away from large metallic objects, microwaves or other electronic equipment that may interfere with the bike's computer. Ensure that the bike is positioned on a flat, level area--otherwise, the bike will rock and feel unstable. Ensure that all knobs, pins and levers are installed appropriately, including pedals, crank and seat. Cranks should be connected at 180-degrees from one another. Seat pins should be seated completely and securely in the your designated pin hole for seat position.

    Speakers not working

    Follow this checklist:
    1) Make sure they're securely plugged into the wall
    2) Make sure that any relevant power switches are in the "on" position. Is there one one the subwoofer?
    3) Make sure they're securely plugged into your computer (or other device)
    4) Make sure that the source device is actually outputting sound. Try plugging headphones directly into the computer
If these fail, please come back with more details. Are there any indicator lights/LEDs on the speakers? If so, do they light up when plugged in and turned on?

Does not power up .battery apearstobecharged cables look ok

You may need to removed the power cable and jumper cord that is connected to the unit threw the base that is in the portable case. Once you removed these from the base, try plugging it directly into the back of your unit and turn on again to see if this corrects the problem. If so, the power cable was not plugged securely into the jumper cord that was in the base. It has to be securely plugged into the jumper cable to send the power to the unit.

How do i connect the boston BA745 comp. speakers to my gateway desktop?

Assuming you have the BA745 2.1 speaker set up, all of the cables connect to the subwoofer and then to the computer or the satellite speakers (these are built into the speakers IIRC). Take the cable with the black box (2 pins) to red and green. The red and green plugs go into the matching color ports on the computer and the pins on the black end fit into the jacks between the those for the two satellites. Plug the single end speaker cable into the subwoofer port all the way to the right on the back of the subwoofer. Plug the wire with the two plugs into the matching color jacks (blue to the left, red to the right). Then plug in the power adapter cable in the farthest left jack and plug in the other end to a surge protected power strip (that is plugged in and turned on).

I need to figure out how to open up the subwoofer for the Altec Lansing vs2121 model. Thank you

theres no on/off button for the subwoofer. once you plugged in the power cable, turn on the speaker system by turning the VOLUME knob on the right satellite until you hear a click sound.
An LED will light on the front of the right satellite when the power is ON. if you still dont hear any sound from the sub woofer then check to make sure that all cables are connected properly and are making a clear connection.

    hope this help

I have novice computer experience when it comes to internal repair, but i was working on a E-machine T6211 and after cleaning out all the dust, it turns on, the fans run, no led lights come on, the cd rom...

OK, it sounds to me like you have one of two issues going on.

When you clean out dust near the mother board or system board you need to be VERY careful. There are small diodes that stick up from the system board that are very sensitive. So, if they get hit or the small wires that connect them to the board get severed, you system board could get damaged.

From your description, you are getting power to the system board, but there are not signals going from the system board to any of the drives. Inside your computer, there are several ribbon cables plugged into the system board. Make sure that all the cables are plugged in securely at both ends. Also, there is on large collection of wires coming from the power supply that go to a large, white rectangular plug that plugs into the system board. Make sure that this is securely plugged in. There may be another small white square plug that also plugs into the system board and provides power.

If all the cables are secure, check the power cables as well as the ribbon cables, and your hard drive and CD drives are not responding, I would guess that you have a damaged system board.

Do this with the computer powered off and unplugged.

Please check this and see if it makes any difference.

    Let me know.
