Question about Kenmore 30464 / 30465 / 30469 Gas Single Oven
It worked fine earlier today. now i have cookies ready to go and i can't get it to heat up. the temperature doesn't rise at all. it looks like the ignitor comes on but there is not flame. what should i do? is it the gas or the oven? it's a kenmore 24" built in oven.
Can you verify the ignitor is working (ie: can you hear it sparking)?
1. If no, and you are absolutely sure there is not a buildup of propane inside the oven (or house for that matter), you can try lighting it with a match. If that works, you need to replace/reposition your ignitor.
2. If yes, do you smell propane after trying to light the oven?
A. If yes, STOP and get it fixed..
B. If no,
1. Check to see that your propane tank isn't empty?
2. Verify the regulator supplying the oven with propane is actually sending gas to the over (might need a repairman for this)
