I have had my ip4600 printer for two weeks, done

I have had my ip4600 printer for two weeks, done only perhaps a dozen or so sheets with colour and about 40 sheets with black and white printing. It now tells me all three colour cartridges have run out ?

Most inkjet printers also use colour to print B&W for a better quality of print.
