Question about Husqvarna Rose

1 Answer

I have the Embroidery Card One that came with the machine when I bought it 11 years ago. I know that it has pre-programed designs on it but I've long since lost the book that tells me what the designs are. Ahhhh can you help ?

Not a solution as such, but keep checking on eBay and other similar websites for one of these cards to come up for sale. Most sellers post a photo of what they are selling. Get it up as big as you can on your screen, do a Print Screen, and voila! you have the designs. You could also check MyEmbroideries.com - where Husqvarna designs are sold online - but I am not sure Disk01 would still be listed. Worth a try, though.

Where can I get memory cards for my Janome 9000

I own the MC9000. I bought the Magic Box plus and I download designs from embroidery websites and transfer them to the memory card (ATA PC card) that came with the Magic Box. It is rewritable so I just switch out designs as I please. I bought the Magic Box about 5 years ago and paid $200 for it. It is super easy to use. I hope this helps.

Error Message This embroidery card cannot be used with this machine

Is it a pre-loaded card - or one you add patterns to?
If its one you add patterns to, make sure the pattern isn't too large for the machine. EG if machine does 4"x4" and you've loaded a 5"x7" pattern, try down-sizing the pattern/ breaking it up into smaller sections to load & sew

4D d-Card Reader/Writer Kit and Husqvarna Quilt Designer II

Assume you are loading your designs using Organizer? Yes? I have very limited experience of this, preferring to use Disk Manager (but you need to have this program which I am guessing you don't).

It is my understanding that Organizer will only load one design to an embroidery media, not a whole menu of various designs. However you obviously are not "seeing" even one design. Did a pre-loaded Husqvarna card come with your machine? I think it should have, but if it didn't then that doesn't help you very much either.

I am wondering if the D-card is not "formatted" for embroidery recognition. The Designer machines like to receive their designs in a certain file arrangement but I'm afraid I can't offer you advice on how to format the card - I do my formatting through Disk Manager.

However, while I was writing the above it did occur to me - are you loading designs that are the .shv format? Your machine will not recognize .hus, .vip, .vp3 or any other format. Please write back to this group and let me know if any of the above was useful to you. I belong to a Yahoo group that deals exclusively with Designer machines, so I will ask the group members if they can come up with any helpful advice.

Pfaff 2124 can't select a design

Be sure your embroidery card is in the side slot BEFORE you turn on your machine. If you are using a pre-loaded card, you would hit the "hoop" button first. This will move the embroidery portion. Then punch in the design number. If you are using a personal card, make sure your design was actually transferred to the card. The instructions in the book are TERRIBLE!

Good luck!

Once I set up my design card and select design, the needle moves

Hi, and welcome to FixYa. If I understand your problem, the needle goes in and out of your fabric, and the embroidery hoop moves, but the machine does not actually start embroidering your design right away....did I get it right? If have time to answer a few questions, I can give more accurate instructions.

  1. How long have you had your machine?
  2. How long have you been doing machine embroidery?
  3. Do you have a manual for your machine?
  4. Look at the back side of your design - do you see lots of bobbin thread, or hardly any?
  5. Have you taken lessons for your machine or for embroidery?
  6. When your design is finished, can you where the machine skipped stitches?
Here a couple of things you can try (if you have already):

  • Make sure you use an embroidery needle, not a universal. In most cases, you should use a size 90. Change your needle after each project. A blunt need can cause your machine to skip embroidery stitches anywhere in the design.
  • Rewind or replace your bobbin. Make sure you use bobbin thread in your bobbin when you embroider - it is thinner and gives you better tension. If pre-wound embroidery bobbins are compatible with your machine, I recommend that you try one and compare the result with designs sewn using the bobbin thread you've been using.
  • Normally, you should loosen your tension a little bit when you embroider. When you look at the back side of your embroidery, you should see more bobbin thread than embroidery thread.
I owned an embroidery business for several years, and I have six different embroidery machines of my own - so with a little more info from you, I think I can help.

Husqvarna Embroidery card reader/writer

Hi - I think you have a Viking Designer 1, which has a slot for a floppy disk on the side of the machine. If so, you need to purchase embroidery software that supports file type .sv1, and you will need to buy floppy disks.

You can buy embroidery software from Viking that will allow you to write design files onto floppy disks, but you can find other embroidery software packages that support the D1 which cost quite a bit less - make sure that file type .sv1 is supported before you buy.

Viking does sell designs that come on a D1 floppy disk. You can just pop the floppy into the machine, select you design, and go. You can find Viking designs online from time to time, but before you buy, ask if a floppy is included - the newer Viking design packages come with a DVD but might not include the floppy for the D1.

Hope this helps, Ginny

If you have a Viking #1+, you won't be able to use floppy disks with your machine. Please repost and I'll tell you what to look for.

Pfaff 7570 program

I have somewhere that installation diskette (with the old SW version). If I'm not mistaken it was not included with the sewing machine but sold separately with the embrodery arm that we bought together with it some 10 years ago. Email me to azach@kci-medical.com if you need more help.

What is lastest version of artlink w/ 180e to use with new .ART files

Yes you can use V4.0 artlink it is available in some markets upto V5 it just depends what version the designs were done in. If it was higher than V4.0 you may still have an issue. Have a look at some of the programs like Embird for more cost effective ways to edit designs but you will still need Artlink to load designs onto the machine.
