Make sure your new bulb has the same K (Kelvin- color) rating as your old bulb. may be printed somewhere on bulb. may be too yellow. also, make sure the bulb is properly installed, and not mis-aligned. this can make a difference in color mix in display.
good luck!

Hi, The only way you can fix that permanently is by taking the TV apart and doing some complicating soldering (the key thing in your description being that the menus come up green). For a temporary fix, try hitting or jostling your TV, because when it becomes normal it might stay normal until another large hit. Or try dampening vibrations by placing it on top of styrofoam or something. Better yet.... just go ahead and buy a new TV. thank you for using fixya, rate my answer

Wd60c9 lights blinking green sometimes, then yellow and finally red and no picture for any significant length of time

2 possibilities. First, the bulb which allows you to view your picture could be burned out. If that is the case, your tv will turn on and you will hear audio but no picture. $85 for a new warranted bulb from Shopjimmy.com. Second possibility. If your TV is on with no picture or sound, you probably have a light engine problem.$325. I don't think it's your light engine. Just don't have enough information. Check the first possibility first. The bulb takes less than 5 minutes to replace. Don't buy just the bulb, buy it with the housing. It doesn't cost more, it costs less and saves a ton of aggravation. Don't touch the bulb with your fingers, use latex gloves when working on electronics.

Panasonic DLP TV has huge yellow blotch covering most of the screen

SET uses a optical light engine--lamp which is quite hot shines into the engine---blue is first to get the light and heat and is usually first area in the lens and baffles to get damaged(loss of blue leaves red and green which equal a yellow screen.

You have a damaged light engine.
