There should be a wire on the unit that says to hook it to the emergency brake. It has to be hooked up before the display will work. You can also just ground it to any ground and it will work that way also. It's designed so you can't watch it while driving down the road but just grounding it will solve that problem. Hope this helps..

Absolutely not. You'll need to either map out the wire harnesses from the two vehicles or swap the harnesses. Either way you will also need the computer from the engine you are installing.

1998 chevy s10 Head unit and dash display not working

You may have damaged the instrument cluster. The PCM has to receive a code from the instrument panel to start. Its part of the security system. Beyond checking fuses you are going to have to take it to a qualified mechanic with the proper diagnostic equipment. It sounds like you wired something incorrectly

No, make sure the vehicle key is in the aux or on position. If this still doesn't work, recheck the wiring. Also, make sure you have a good ground.

JVC KD-G140 Chevy s10 problem

Your headunit is getting constant power (yellow wire). You most likely have no switched power (acc red wire). You can be certain by testing the red wire w/ a 12 volt test light when your ignition is on. If there is no power to this wire then you probably have a blown fuse. The radio fuse should be a 10amp fuse located in the drivers kick panel.

Chevy is known for using a cheap grade of wiring harnesses that corrode over time and short out. my 93 s10 blazer had a bad wire in the transmission harness resulting in only 2nd and 3rd gear and wouldnt shift by itself, i dont know if im right but something to check into.

06 cobalt stock system hook up

I cant really assist in this matter but I can let you know that I have a system in my 2006 Chevy Cobalt and that I have an aftermarket cd player installed. I had to pay $130 for a special adapter for it to be wired into the system because GM's newest idea of installing the stereo and airbags on the same wire scheme, is kind of a dumb idea.

Deh-15 no sound

the only thing i can suggest is to make sure that your positive and negative wires on the speaker wires are connected right and if they are then the radio is bad, i would try a different stereo and see if you have the same problem.
