Try searching youtube for videos on how to open up the ipod and manually putting back the power button into place or look for a local repair shop to do this for you. They should fix it for under $40.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

It might be too late, but put it in a bag of white rice for a weak and then charge it or turn it on. gel silica packs work better if you have them. They will **** the moisture out of the ipod touch. if that doesnt work, your ipod touch has been shorted out.

I have an iTouch, how do I know what applications - free or paid - will work with iTouch - I see iPod, iPhone, iPad, but not iTouch....thanks

Generally in the itunes store under requirements it tell you that the application is compatible with either iphone, ipod touch or ipad. You should note that the ipod touch is what you seem to call the itouch.

My itouch will not turn on

This happened to me, fortunately I found how to fix it in Youtube.com, I remember you have to like click at the same time the 2 buttons in your ipod (the one below the screen and the one which you click to hold ect.), just hold both of them at the same time for a while it might take 30 seconds or so and then the apple sign will appear in your ipod and it will turn on. Tell me if it works, if it doesnt then Im going to tell you another option. dont forget to rate me..... good luck....

I don't know the itouch passcode. Can't open my i

Many people do this! Simple solution! Do the following:
1) Start your iTunes and connect your iPod touch to your comp.

2) Keep holding the POWER button (top right) together with the HOME button (centre, bellow the ipod screen) for about 10 seconds. You should hear a sound(s)..
Release the POWER button ONLY, keep holding the HOME button, you will again hear some sounds.

3) If you did it correctly iTunes will tell you that it has detected an iPhone or iPod touch in recovery mode.

You should be able to re-sync all your previous ipod content from there...

Itouch wont turn on

Either your battery is low and must charge, or your battery has died.

Or, try resetting your iTouch.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Or,

DFU: Hold the power/home button for 10 secs then keep holding the home button and let go of the power for a further 8 secs.

Factory settings: Press the restore button in the summary tab of your ipod in itunes

Other than that, you should call apple for repair..

Hope this helps! ^_^

When i try and play a application on my new itouch ipod 16gb it t

Hi Vicky-Joy,

it is always a good idea to turn off your ipod touch or iphone after installing an application.

To do this, hold down the sleep/wake button on the top for 6 seconds until slide to turn off apears.

Then turn the ipod back on again, and it should work properly.

Also bear in mind that it may be poor programing that is causing the application to crash and exit out of itself.

Hope this helps,

Nathan.
