I could not tell you without a specific model number. You might try doing a web search for your refrigerator's model number and the word "recall." I assume the refrigerator's warranty has expired, or you would not be asking about a recall.
In the meantime, talk to your Sears service manager and see if they will make an accommodation for you on the ice-maker repair. Sometimes companies will give a courtesy extension on a warranty if the problem occurred during the warranty period, but the warranty expired before repairs were done. However, since you do not mention requesting repairs to the ice-maker before the end of the warranty, you can't expect much joy there.
There is a recall on your tranny take it to a Jeep dealer and tell them
you waant the tranny recall done ours did the same thing, there is some
seal that goes bad.
Also, I quote this comments form other owners with this problem: Our 2005 grand cherokee had tranny poblems at 30,000 mi. It was a
bearing in the trans. They rebuilt it under warranty. the symptoms: when
you shift from park to drive and step on the gas there was a delay and
it would bang onto gear. They said this was a problem on a lot of
Laredos. Now at 50,000 more tranny problems. not shifting right, the
engine light is on and it lights up around all of the tranny indicators
on the dash PRND will all be lit up. After several trips to the dealer
it is the Trans Control module or TCM at a cost of 400.00 and of course not covered in the 70,000 mi warranty.
Them, I suggtes scanned the TCM for any stored codes there.
The dealer has the power to goodwill warranty something that is out of the 3yr/36k warranty, but if you go into a dealership and are all crappy with them they won't do ANYTHING for you.Call GM yourself and explain to them your problems. The number should be in your owners manual.Don't get crappy with them, just explain your concern of having to fix this issue several times and you are not happy. Also tell them you are looking for another car and even though you want to buy another gm product you are reluctant to do so because of all the problems with this one. REMEMBER to be tactful as this will usually get the best results.
Is it still cooling? I had an issue where there was a clicking noise from the back panel and the fridge did not cool. Pulling off the panel the noise seemed to from a box on the circuit board. Turns out there was a problem with the controler board and after some research I found that the board was covered under a recall. GE ended up sending a guy out to replace the board at no charge. Pretty cool being that if was after the warranty had expired; but I guess it makes sence since there was a recall. Good luck.
I had the same problem on a 2000 suzuki esteem and I checked with the dealer.
it looks like there are a lot of problems with the subframe, so suzuki extended the warranty to 12 years or 288 k.
I know is a late answer, but might help somebody.
HP had a lot of problems with these PCs, the video card is on-board and seems to be failing a lot. They even had a recall on these, but unless it is still under warranty you are out of luck. I am currently working on one right now that has the same problem. I installed a low profile ATI 4600XT video card and still nothing. I went into the BIOS and somehow navigate to the right spot to tell the PC not to use the on-board, but instead use the PCIe. It was a real pain when the screen is having a sync problem and everything looks funky. But even after that it still tries to boot using the defective on-board. Hope this helps.
There's a problem with the steering shaft coupler. Ours did that and made a thunking sound too. Dealer covered it under warranty and put in a better shaft. I don't think a recall has been put out, but if you still have warranty, tell them to replace the steering wheel shaft while you can...
Unfortunately I know mine's already out of manufacturer's warranty so I know they're going to just tell me to upgrade or let me know that I should've purchased additional warranty when I bought it! I know it sucks & yes a LOT of people seem to be having issues with this monitor but that's the cost of buying the cheap stuff! We get what we pay for in the end...
