It makes a rattling sound when i turn it on

It could be the box. Boxes wear out over time and get loose. If not then its the voice coil. Theyre not blown all the way but youve done damage and burned some voice coil. I have 2 of them with bad voice coils that do that rattling. But they still hit super hard. To find out take the sub out the box and turn it up. If no noise then its the box.

sorry to say you have burnt on of the coils out open circuit. it probably will not be long now before the other coil blows as they are wound together and one can damage the other during burn out.

What would cause smart hot water board to burn or melt after 3 wks of installation

1 The hot water board is not of the correct rating thus getting heated up and burning. 2 There is a short circuit in the system which draws excessive current thus burning board. 3 I f the rating is correct than the material used is inferior.

How to run the speaker wires to connect to the subwoofer? and does a sub woofer burn if you do not put the right ammount of watts to it for example having an kicker l7 connected to a three houndred watt...

i'm guessing you are having problems with the dual voice coil's so I will link you to the kicker wiring guide...

http://kicker.com/sites/default/files/SoloBaricL72006.pdf that has the wiring options, you will need a pdf reader **** as adobe or foxit..

Under powering your subs won't hurt them but running a 15 inch l7 at 300 watts is not going to let the sub perform at peak, I would go with a 800 to 1000 watt amp.

15 inch l7 watt's are as follow

rms = 1000
peak = 2000

Ppi dcx 1500.1 is it 2 powerful 4 da 12in. L7?

Hello montyski20,

The amp outputs 500 watts RMS into 4ohms, 750 watts RMS into 2ohms and 1000 RMS into 1ohm.

The L7 can handle 750 watts RMS (375 watts per each coil). If your L7 is the 2ohm version, you should wire the voice coils in series, the positive marked coil to the negative unmarked coil. Then connect the remaining positive and negative to the amp terminals. This gives you a 4ohm load (500 watts). If your L7 is the 4ohm version, wire the voice coils in parallel, both marked and unmarked positives together, likewise both negatives and then to the amp terminals. This gives a 2ohm load (750 watts).

Paralleling the 2ohm sub will result in a 1ohm load (1000 watts) and that is too much for the L7.

Hope this helps.

I've heard this song before.You are on the right track.the solder joint that burns out feeds the heater relay which draws the most current.make sure you got a good connection at main feed.use ceramic wire nuts.possible bad heater but have only changed 1 out of hundreds of bsh repairs.lousy boards !!!
