My faucet leaks at the base where it meets the decorative cover at tne top of the sink. when the faucet is pivoted, sometimes it leaks more. it does not leak under the sink. i can't find any paperwork that shows how the faucet is constructed.

When installing do you silicone each piece for example the faucet , the soap dispenser ,the sprayer , and the tap

Hi seawitch678,

If you have a granite or stone countertop/sink, use silicone as plumber's putty will stain the stone. Plumber's putty is petroleum based so it will not adhere to stone. Normally you should use what the manufacturer recommends and where they recommend. When installing a faucet, put either around the base of any piece that goes through the countertop.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

[email protected] how to remove a culligan drinking water faucet

It depends on the style of faucet and how old it is. Their pre 1990 faucets have to be taken apart under the sink. Newer style (plastic, chrome r2d2 faucet) can be taken apart from above. If it is a custom faucet it will have to be taken apart from below sink.

533-50 kitchen faucet leaks above base mount at pivot body when water is on and the faucet is pivoting to fill other sink.It dribbles out on counter top.Seems not to leak if faucet stays stationary.The...

There are O rings that seal the various body parts of this faucet. I would try turning off the supply lines, removing the handle, and unscrewing the faucet and the housings. Look for O rings that seal each part. Could be a broken, or maybe some foreign material has gotten in the O ring grooves. Best bet would be to replace any O rings and tighten it all back securely. It should not have any Up and Down play, should only swivel side to side. I'm thinking O rings. While there, you can replace the seat seals and springs, so that you preclude any leaks from the faucet itself. Lowes, Home Depot, carry the repair kits for these faucets at a reasonable price. And they usually include the allen wrench and wrench to remove the handle and the body parts. And they are relatively inexpensive. Around 4 to 6 dollars. Its an easy fix.

Can't tighten single handle moehn kitchen faucet

there is supposed to be a nut with a washer under the sink in the center, the metal plate is just for decoration, the nut and washer have to be installed before the sprayer is attached the stem that it connects to has threads on it for the nut your faucet should have came with a long socket made of plastic to install the nut
