Question about Dishwashers

Dishwasher falling forward

Hello,

I recently installed s/steel built under Bosch Dishwaher model SGU53E15AU.

My problem is when the dishwasher is open and the bottom draw is pulled out with dishes in it, the dishwasher over-balances and falls forward.

The dishwasher is level on all sides.

How do I prevent the dishwasher falling forward?

Thanks, David Boxall

Open the door and look up at the leading edge of the dishwasher..you should see two metal eyelets that may or may not need to be bent up or swung into position. Take two sheetrock screws and screw one into each eyelet up into the underneath of your countertop that will hold it in place

The problem is that even with these brackets attached, the dishwasher still has "give" forward, meaning it still has 2 inches of movement or so. It only takes 5-10 times that it moves back and forth before the tiny piece of metal snaps and we're back to square one. I'm trying to figure out how to side mount to hopefully avoid this again. I'm on my 3rd set of top brackets for my Bosch.

The problem is that there is still "give" back to front (only an inch or two) and it doesn't take long before the metal bracket snaps.

I'm working on a solution to try to side mount this or create a new bracket myself that won't move backwards/forwards and eventually snap. Anyone have solutions yet?

Apparently it is a common problem. You may find the answer here:

Bosch classixx dishwaher not turning on

A leak which has activated the flood safety in the base, you can check this by pulling the machine onto a towel and tipping the whole unit forward ie raise the back of the machine off the floor so it is pivoted on the front feet at approx 45 degrees, if water runs out from under the machine you have a leak (the machine may well start to work again now but you need to trace the leak or it will reoccur as soon as the safety is activated again).

How do I tighten the door handle on my Bosch dishwasher model SHY56A 05UC/14?

Remove front panel then you can access the handle screws. Open the door and remove the 'torx' screws surrounding the perimeter of the door.

The side spring springs could have unhooked. Some springs connect to a nylon rope that slides over a plastic guide. The rope could also have snaped or slipped off the guide. You need to open the sides (normaly the back first) to check. This is easy to fix if you have the right tools...

My Bosch intergreted dishwasher is only 3 years old. For the past year, the dishwasher dispenser refuses to open on the second cycle. We have had the repair man here 3 times, and each time he says it's fixed, but it clearly is not. Does anyone know what to do about this??

There is a pass through the lower back side of the dishwasher that also has a restraining device to prevent drain hose from being pulled off of drain pump. After passing hose through this opening, connect hose to drain pump. Note: there is another restraining device built into lower plastic housing which has a finger notch to accept hose and keeps the drain hose engaged in to drain pump by not allowing hose to back out of drain pump/ hose interface.
