We have a Genn Air JDB-5 Dish washer, last night

We have a Genn Air JDB-5 Dish washer, last night when we turned it on and closed the door, all of a sudden a funny sneezing like sound came and the washer stopped. The water didn't drain and the cycle never completed.
We tried again by setting the cycle to normal and pushing the start button, on closing the door, the usual water hissing sound came for about ten seconds, but after that nothing. The water didnt drain and the cycle never started.
If some one can help with this, it would be great.
