I think I have the same problem. My cd's were not being fully loaded into the the reader. It kept going thru the cd's 1 by 1, and would never play them. I took off the cover, and found a spring in the bottom of the unit, probably has to keep some type of tension on the load/unload arm to push the cd's in all the way..Is there a way to take a pic or schematic and send it to me to help identify where it goes ? It's easy to say to hook it up when it's hooked on one end already, in this casy, it was in the bottom of the unit, and I have no idea where it can go.

Thanks for your excellent support !!

Small red clip appeared on rim after being off balance. spring attached.

There is a small red clip that holds a stabilizing spring (notice items 7 & 8 in the graphic) which attaches to the top of the tub cover at the front, left side. You might be able to push the tub assembly to the back, right corner to better see this, but it is easiest to reinstall with the top of the machine removed. If the clip is broken or the spring stretched they will need to be replaced. The unit can work without these parts, but is more likely to experience out of balance problems.

How do I reattach the top washer spinning wand on my dishwasher? It was knocked off by an object in the top tray. It is attached to the top of the washer case, above the rack. The washer is a Frigidaire...

Hey friend, that's a great question!
From the information you have provided the wand fell of the top of your Frigidaire dishwasher and you want to reattach it. Normally, the arm screws in. If your arm will not attach properly it could be damaged or the piece it screws into could be damaged. I would check over to make sure there are no cracks or damage done to the arm. Best of luck! -Matt

Air conditioning belt broke - need to replace it

Make sure the path of the belt is correct. The belt is tightened by a spring loaded arm with a pulley on it. There is a cut-out or raised position molded into the spring arm for a Rachet or breaker bar to attach. It will be a square shape to match the 1/2 drive breaker bar.

When force is applied, the arm will move and contract the spring. This will provide room to slip on the belt with your free hand.

The idea is to slip the belt on at the easiest point. Often this is the top pulley on the Alternator.

What you should also do is rotate each pulley on the engine, including the A/C, by hand, to diagnose bad bearings, which will have a rough rotation.

There are some spring arms which can be pressed by hand, without a tool, to provide the clearance to slip on a belt. Really depends on where the spring arm is and how strong you are. Just route the belt around the spring arm and press with your body weight to move the spring while slipping the belt on the Alternator pulley or any you can reach.

When on spin cycle it keeps jumping around so bad is will shut off.I have the Kenmore 3.4 cu. ft. Top-Load Washing Machine - White Item# 02620022000 | Model# 20022

Sounds like the counterbalance spring is broken.

The counterbalance spring is found in the bottom left rear of the machine.

I just replaced mine. My spring did not break but the hole in the base that the spring attaches to rusted out and the spring popped off. (My washer is 25 years old.)

I reattached the spring by hooking it to a hole on the back panel. The spring is available through Sears Parts Direct or any other appliance parts store.

There are excellent YouTube videos that demonstrate how to replace the spring. It is very easy to do. The videos show how to remove the washer's cabinet so you can get to the spring very easily.

If you are not comfortable removing the cabinet, you can get to the spring by tilting the washer and reaching under the base. Be careful that the machine is well supported so that it does not injure anyone by falling over or back down. You do not want your head under the machine and have it come crashing down.

Removing the cabinet is not hard to do at all. There are two screws holding the control panel down. Flip the control panel back out of the way. Disconnect the lid switch connection. Remove two clips that attaches the back panel to the cabinet. Tilt the cabinet forward and slide it forward to remove.

The YouTube videos show all this. Here is an excellent video...

the piece of metal arm going to the pully has a hole for one half of the spring..and maybe a notch closer to the frame for the other half of the spring

Governor spring on a 6 hp briggs intek ohv came off

Hello graham8718:

**The Throttle Cable Attaches to the Throttle Control Bracket. The Cable Moves a Slide that Moves a Pivot. The Pivot has the Spring Attached to it and the Other End of this Spring Attaches to the Governor Arm. The Solid Link Connects to the Governor Arm and goes to the Throttle Shaft on the Carburetor. When the Throttle Cable is Moved it Moves the Pivot and the Pivot Pulls the Spring. The Spring Pulls the Governor Arm and the Governor Arm Moves the Throttle Shaft. Usually the Spring is in the Lower Hole in the Governor Arm and the Solid Link is in the Top Hole of the Governor Arm.**

No vacuum suction during normal floor cleaning operation

That door is called a valve door, and it may have broken, part #38718013. Or the valve arm, rear broke, part number 38719048. The spring part # is 38358001. Usually it is the valve arm that breaks. You would have to take the top cover off, then you can see the parts.
