How do i delete videos off of sansa e260(4Gb)

Hi my mp3 player is messed i tried to delete the videos but it keeps on saying (Skip) or cannot be deleted please disconect cuase it is not responding so if you could give me any advice.also how could i reset everything on my sansa e260 thanks

it deletes EVERYTHING off the player, including music photos, etc.

Do this.

Go to computer
And see the removable disk.
Locate the one that its attached to

Right click

Format it

It should work.

My sansa sandisk 2gig clip keeps saying "connected, writing, then disconnecting how do i make it stay connected?


You're Firmware may be messed up. Go to, or download, the Sansa Updater and download the latest Firmware. Then try it.

There's actually another mode, MTP. Files in this mode won't show up in the other mode.

Recordings problem


The database is corrupt - run the Sansa Recovery Tool and start over - back up your recordings first, b/c the recovery tool will delete everything:

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to the Sandisk website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out.
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

Weird Files??


I would recommend you to format the device using Windows media player..just go to the sync tab..your device is going to be listed on the left side of your screen.then right click on the device name and format it..keep in mind formatting will erase all data in the device...

Sansa e250 keeps freezing


If you're checking that its empty in your rhapsody program, you might want to click on My Computer and then click on your Sansa mp3 player and then go into music files and delete everything. If u want to delete everything, including videos and pictures, you can go into your rhapsody account, plug in your mp3 player and right click, scroll down and click on "format" this will hopefully delete everything on your mp3 player...if u don't apply to any of these, well....sorry i don't know how to help.

Disable Auto-Sync in Windows Media Player before trying any other method.

My player is really messed up...


I deleted my Music folder completely from the Sansa and opened a new one and added music and it worked just fine.
