Dryer won't heat. Everything else seems fine. It went from Hot one day to No heat the next.

Our dryer just won't turn on. We noticed that it was throwing cool air out rather than hot heat. A couple days later went to use it and it just stopped. We checked to see if it was our wall mount...


First make sure there is 120 Volt between either outer terminal and the middle terminal, and you need 240 Volt between both outer terminals. Then unplug the dryer and check the wiring. If you see burnt wire ends that could be the problem. The first place to check is where the supply cord connects inside the dryer. The next most likely places would be at the timer and switches. If you hear a humming sound when you are turning the dryer on, that indicates a motor that froze due to dry bearings. Are you sure you have a good belt? Some dyers have a switch near the motor that turns everything off when the belt is broke.

Dryer will not heat. lint filter is clean. dryer runs fine bosch dryer nexxt 500.
