Remove the from panel and visually inspect the pump. It sounds like a loose connection on the pump discharge line.

I have a submersible Gould pump in a well. Recently air is getting into my system and coming out as irregular spurts. I replaced the water storage tank and the check valve, and the problem persists

Sounds like pump is not set deep enough and getting air. If the pump is as deep as it can go you may have to have to screen in the well changed or cleaned with acid pellets.

Pool pump not working properly. air in lines

The air gets into the lines on the suction side of the pump and the pipes and valves leading to it. I could write a pamphlet or chapter of a book on this topic. Anything that can let even a little air in can cause it. A quick way that can detect where the problem on about 50% of the time. When you get the water flowing as much as possible and then you shut off the pump while you watch the pump and pipes on the suction side then a spurt of water may be visible. When you fix it then less air should get in when you run the pump. Another trick is to shut off the pump and listen carefully for any sound as the slight suction in the pipes tries to draw the water back into the pool. Another trick is to use a hose with water to water the pipes, valves, pump, etc. and when you move it from place to place and if the air visibly decreases in the pump bowl then you may have found the leak.

I hope this helps

Why does the pressure washer water come out in bursts?

Is your inlet water supply open fully, it will pump in spurts if the pump is not receiving enough inlet water volume and pressure.

Just borrowed this pump - how do I hook it up?

if you look on the fitting area where the hoses connect to - there should be a arrow indicating water flow.
if there is no arrow -- take about a cup of water and pour it into one of the pump fittings and turn the pump on real quickly -- this will show you with a spurt of water what side is the out and what side is the in.
