Maytag fridge not cooling

If the ref or freezer is too warm and you turn the dial to make it colder the compressor should come on. If the ref or freezer is not cold like you say the compressor should be on all the time. You should hear it, but you can definitely feel it and it should be very warm after a short while.
If the compressor does not get warm unplug the ref with the compressor running and plug it back in immediately. A good compressor should not start up right away.
If it is running and not getting warm and does start right up after unplugging it and plugging it back in it is inefficient and not compressing the freon gas enough and therefore not cooling enough.
The fan in the freezer should be running as should the fan under the refrigerator.
The condenser should be warm and the fan should be blowing[drawing] air across it when the compressor is on.
You don\'t repair compressors and to recharge them correctly is expensive.

My thomson projection tv serial number atn706327 keeps cutting off every 5 minutes the fan stops and the picture goes away could you help please

This sounds like the protection circuit operating. With projection TV's, the cooling fan is essential to prevent damage from overheating. The fan contains a pulse generator to indicate rotation. If the pulse stops, the protection circuit will turn off the set. 5 minutes may be how long the fan takes to seize when it warms up. Also possibly heat sensitve parts along the cooling path covered with dust causing heat sensors to operate.

I have a 2001 Mazda Tribute. The blowers for the fan work just fine, but the air never gets warm. Any idea what it is?

your heater core could be clogged. flush out your whole cooling system and hopefully that fixes the problem

Experiencing a "ticking" "knocking" type noise when 1st starting the car in colder weather that goes away once the blazer warms up , any help ?? I was told it could be the exhaust manifold , or piston...

it may need a lifter or valve adjustment when cold they will tick or knock depending on how loose or worn out then when it warms up they swell with heast and noise stops. after adjusting or replacing it will stop making noise

Freazer works fridge warm

Hi Jen, I would suspect the thermostat. The fact that the fan is still coming on and off is because it is more than likely getting frozen or clogged with ice making it stop and in turn cooling stops. Yep I would start with changing the thermostat.

HDTV Rear Projection

The color wheel is the most common problem when it comes to noise from DLP's. To determine if it is a color wheel or fan: Turn on the set. When the noise starts, turn off the set. If the noise goes away within 5 seconds, then the color wheel is bad. If the noise goes away after one to one and a half minutes after the set was shut off, then one of the fans are making the noise.

Picture goes in and out

I wonder does your screen flash on and off or does the picture just go away? If it flashes on and off it may be that the power supply has a component that has to heat up to work or a loose connection that finally makes contact. The same thing would happen if the picture just goes away except that a component somewhere in the video circuit could be loose or a capacitor has lost its value and regains it with temperature. There are a number of things that could cause this problem. This is only a few of them. Stargazer
