I don't understand. It sounds as if your outdoor fan is not running and is shutting down on thermal overload. Check capacitor in outdoor unit. Good Luck.

I have a fujitsu air con which is flashing 3 times on the timer. It runs for 10 seconds and then shuts down and then flashes 3 times. Model is a AOTR09LCC

Serial signal (reverse) error, during operation.
Try turning power off at isolator for ten minutes and then switch back on. If error code persists, you will probably need a new controller PCB in the outdoor unit.

When the indoor unit does not receive the signal for 10 consecutive seconds during the operation >Permanent stop after 30 seconds.
[Diagnosis Point]
Check the indoor /outdoor cable connection (in order). If the cable wiring is not abnormal, measure the voltage of the outdoor
unit terminals and diagnose the defective location.
(Refer to the after mentioned [Serial Signal Diagnosis] for the voltage measuring method and diagnosis method.)

Daikin code e9 expansion valve ?? How do you test ?!

Turn the isolator switch on the outdoor unit to off wait 30 sec then turn it back on you should hear a ticking sound coming from the outdoor unit when u turn the unit on. if u can hear the ticking sound that is the EEV working then it is possibly a board fault. You can check the motor by doing a diode test. If you are unsure get a new EEV and replace it they are about $90 and to change it they just pop off.

Even I turn of the indoor unit via the controller , the outdoor unit is still running. I turn off the breaker and turn on still the the outdoor unit still running. What do you think the problem is?

Usually when this occurs it is a contactor burnt shut. If left to run, it will freeze the outdoor condensing unit into a block of ice. The contactor activates the compressor and
fan and the contactor is controlled by the low voltage from the thermostat. If the contact points are burnt shut the thermostat becomes of no use in controlling the outdoor condensing unit. The solution is to replace the contactor. Make sure all power to unit from all sources is shut off before attempting to replace. Hope this is helpful.

Is it normal for the outdoor unit on my coleman h/p to make a surging humming noise? the fan does not run during this period, approx. temp. is 28 degrees F. the fan runs 30 seconds befor the unit...

Sounds like your unit is going into defrost mode. When this happens the fan in the outdoor unit shuts off so you get more heat in the outdoor unit to defrost the coils. The heatpump is basically in A/C mode during defrost and the electric heat strips will kick in so you don't feel a cold blast of air in the house.

Hi, the tech should have been able to figure the stat out with out a manual to see why the condenser is shutting off at 1:00 P.M. This is unusual for this to happen, unless it was winter and this is a heat-pump going into defrost, but just the fan would shut down. Does this unit have a box on it that was installed by your electric company that shuts the unit off during high peak conditions in the summer? This would cause it to shut down at the same time everyday. If not, it would have to be something in the thermostat that is set for it to shut off at that time. It still does not make since, as it would shut both the indoor and outdoor unit off, not just the condenser. Are you saying that just the condenser fan motor is shutting off, but the compressor continues to run until it shuts off on high head pressure when the fan stops, or does the complete outdoor unit shut down fan, compressor and all at that time??. It sounds to me like this outdoor unit has a time delay relay that has a fault in it may be shutting it off at this time daily? Please let me know if its just the condenser fan motor that shuts off, or if the complete unit is shutting off all together, this will help .
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

WE have Amcoraire Mini split unit heat pumps. One is

P 4 code means problem with the outdoor unit, Most likely low on refrigerant. Check all copper pipe connections for leaks first, then add refrigerant after checking pressures.
