Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player
My mom was teaching me about the connection of the cords when I unplugged the DVD player. It restarted and (it was the RCA brand, one year warrenty, not one year yet,) said on the tiny screen, HELLO HELLO HELLO, which was normal. Then my mom moved a cord, and the screen went blank. After a moment, the screen lit up and started blinking HELLO, which was not normal. When I pressed any of the buttons, including the power button, it didn't respond. And there's a rented disc in there too! Please respond soon!
OK! try plugging the unit back in to the mains power and bring it out of standby (if you can) and press eject. If nothing happens - don't panic!
Unplug it from the power and remove the lid off the machine. Where the disc is you will see what is called the disc clamp (this bit holds the disc in place when playing).
it's made of plastic and there should be TWO visible screws (one at each side) they may have black rubber stoppers over them. Take off the stoppers and remove the screws and the disc clamp will just simply lift off and it's very easy to replace as well.
There may even be a place on the bottom of the unit where you can insert a hair clip or something to release the mechanism.
Hope this has gone some way to help you (:-)
