No attachment needed. The nails are inserted just like the staples are. You can only use the nails that are made for it of course. If you look at the front where the staples come out, there should be a little picture of a nail on one side. That is the side the nails go in, heads towards the stapler, just like the staples. The nails will only fit and function from one side of the unit.

How do I remove the broken end of the tach drive recessed into the end of the camshaft on my massey ferguson 65 diesel

Hi Bill:
Here's a trick you might try. It should work if the broken part is not physically attached and if it is magnetic.
Find a short piece of plastic tube, even a drinking straw will do, that will slide into the hole.
Find a common nail that will just slide into the tube. Grind the pointed end off the nail so it is flat.
Slide the plastic tube over the nail also that it bumps into the head, then cut the tube off flush with the flat end.
Slide the tube with the nail in it into the hole in the end of the crankshaft.
Take your handy super magnet and touch it to the head of the nail.
If you are lucky, if you gently pull the nail/tube out with the magnet attached, the broken but will come out.
Hope this helps.

How to fabricate a spark tester for checking the ignition sistem

You need a block of wood,a large alligator clip, some nails, screws and wire and the cap end of an old spark plug.Make a hole of 3 cm in diameter in the center of the block of wood.Enter lateral in the block of wood face to face two nails,a short one from the right side and the longer one from the left side. They are set in the middle at 3/16 inch. The large alligator clip is attached to the block of wood with a screw and is connecting to the short nail through the wire.At the long nail is attached the cap end of an old spark plug. The wire from the coil is attached to the long nail and the large alligator clips to the cylinder. If the spark tester will produce a blue spark strong enough to jump the tester gap it is adequate for the engine to run.Now you can check the ignition system and you do not have to pay for this anymore.I wish you good luck.

Here's a youtube clip.

The principle is the same for most pull start motors.
- Take it apart (remove the starter assembly)
- Pull the cord out as far as it will go.
- Use a nail or screwdriver to stop the spool from rewinding
- Remove the cord
- Install a new cord the same way that the old one was attached
- Remove the nail (or screwdriver
- Re-attach the starter assembly

Bostitch nail gun

You should be able to find parts for your model nailer doing a simple web search. Take out the allen screws on the back of gun, remove the back, inside the chamber you'll find a round metal disc, this is the plunger, the drive pin is attached to the other side, the plunger, and pin is one piece, when you remove it you'll see where the pin has broke off.

We have a NELCO baseboard electrical heater, circa 1970s. We wish to remove it temporarily from the wall to permit new flooring installation under the heater. How are they attached to the wall?

It is attached with 2-screws or 2-nails. Depending on who installed it. I970's, I'm betting on 2-nails.
If you remove the cover, you will see where the nails are located on the inside back wall of the heater compartment and are attached to the baseboard. Be sure to turn the circuit breaker for the heater to the OFF position, be for attempting to unwire and move the heater. The circuit breaker should remain OFF until the heater is reinstalled.

I have a bostitch SB 16 finish nailer that has a rack of nails stuck in th loading barrel. I need to take the barrel apart to get them out, How do I do this?

The solution provided is harder then it needs to be. Where the nail gun handle attachs to the nail magazine there are 2 bolts. Remove these bolts and the nail magazine slides right out and you can get to the jammed nail. It still took some effort on my part to get the nail out but this was a lot easier then removing the 4 bolts previously suggested.

Assembling new juki ddl 5500

Most of the time the rubber inserts have a slot in the edge of them to slide over the ears on the pan , slide them on all 4 corners and then put the assembly into the table , slide everything to the front of the table. the nail will go through both the rubber and the pan. Use a good quality ,oil resistant sealer , between the rear edge and the table to prevent the oil from splashing out while operating . If your corner cushion does not have the slots in them , put the pan in first nail in place rubber goes on top . Sometimes the rubber needs to be trimmed to height for a perfect head to table fit . The head should be level with the top and the rubber also for a smooth fabric flow while you are sewing. Hope this will help.

Nail Gun question

For every nail that a normal human with a hammer could hand drive on his best day, a pneumatic nailer would drive and set twelve! That is no exaggeration. Although there is no need to go this fast, a reasonable speed would allow you to be 400 to 800 percent more productive. Nailing large subfloors and roof decks is a breeze. Hours worth of work becomes minutes.

How to Install Air Compressor and Nail Gun

Set up the pressure on the air compressor. First plug the air compressor in, then check the pressure. It should be between 90 and 110 pounds per square inch (PSI) for home use. If it is not in this range, turn the knob to the left to decrease the pressure and to the right to increase the pressure. Use the appropriate nail gun for the job. For example, to nail shoe molding to base boards, a standard finishing nail gun would be perfect. It holds any size nail between 5/8 inch and 2 inches. This nail gun could be used for many projects with great results. Check the gauge the nail gun takes before purchasing the nails for the gun. If you get the wrong gauge they will not fit in the gun. You can check this by looking at the information printed on the side of the nail gun next to the model number. You can also open the nail chamber for this information. Attach the nail gun to the air compressor. You can do this before or after you load the nails into the gun. Use the air compressor hose to attach to the bottom of the nail gun. It screws on much like the end of a hose. If you do not have the right size air hose, you can find one at your local hardware store.
