Have you tried just leaving it in there and trying it that way? some models of digital picture frames do not have the ability to store pictures on the unit, requiring you to leave the stick in the usb port on the frame while using the unit.

From your camera use the software supplied and from the smart phone, it the phone is set up as a mass storage device, copy them directly using windows copy and paste . If not download the desktop software for your phone.
Were the new files the same type as the old ones? Could be that the frame cannot read the sort of file you are now introducing on the stick. Load standard jpeg files onto stick and see if it then works. If it does not, then something may have happened to frame rendering it useless.
If the photos are on an external memory card you should be able to put that into your computer and retrieve your photos that way. If this is not an option because the photos are actualy saved to the digital photo frame then you should be able to connect the photo frame to your computer using a USB cable and then copy the photos to your computer. I am not particularly familiar withthe product but i hope this helps
Some models allow you to set photo copy or import method to "optimized". This will compress the photos as they are copied to the frame and allow you to fit more on it. But in order to use this feature, you must copy from a memory card or USB drive, not a PC. A PC will override the copy mode.
you probably wanted to put -em from the the camera in pc ..to edit ..and after that into the frame ...the things are easy ...the camera is connecting with the data cable ...and downloading its kids game ...puting em back to the camera just look into the my computer when the camera is connected and you will find it as a removable storage device ..that is the actually SD card..and copy paste em back ...in fact you can also proceed the same when you take em out ....after editing and so ...it depends on which way the frame accept info ...from usb cable ...from usb stick ..or from memory card...if the frame has memory card than you can just put the card into a card reader and load the photo direct with copy paste ...or ..if the frame has a cable connection you have to make the connection with your pc ...and upload pics or with the camera ...depend on the frame type ..and the way it connects ...for better and more precise information let me know the exact digi frame model ...or at least how it accepts uploads..
The A701 is a bit cranky. I've found that it prefers USB flash sticks of upto 2GB. It likes the flash stick formatting before use. And it prefers jpg files added to the root directory of the flash stick - so no images in folders. Finally but probably least important, it's not much point uploading 2MB jpgs as the screen is pretty much 72DPI smaller size JPGS lead to a faster loading. ( try around 900x 600 dpi )
should be able to use a memory stick or card. upload from computer onto stick/card, insert into frame & will upload pix. some frames have a USB cord that connects directly to the computer as well, if so, you can plug it into the computer (& the frame), and upload the pix you want on the frame from there (sometimes there's a program on your computer that will assist you, sometimes you just do it manually).
If this doesn't help you, please see: http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=doc
This is the Coby website. You input the product & it will pull up all available documentation for it. Sometimes the manuals are available online.
