Just bought a new Kenwood 2400 to add to the other 2300 radios and I can't get them to communicate even though they are both on channel 1 which should be the same frequency! Help!

The 2300 is Vhf and the 2400 is Uhf. They cannot talk to each other. Not a programming issue, the wrong radio band and it cannot be changed.

I have a 2001 voyager dvd player works but no sound. i also get a lot of white noise from any radio stations i listen to. any suggestions?

Hi Had the same problem with my 2001 Voyager. I decided to replace the factory double din size radio/cd with a Kenwood. The Kenwood poered up but no sound. There was one wire that did not connect from the original radio unit even though I had bought the correct wiring loom to connect the new unit. It turns out that this wire sends a signal to a relay in the fuse box under the bonnet to turn the amp on. This wire does not send 12volts but a signal of some kind. The cure was to take a live direct to the front rh relay and this then powers up the amp and everything works fine. Hope this helps.

Kenwood new sterio shuts off when turning up volume

You may have a short in a speaker. Check to see that the wire terminals on the speaker itself aren't touching any metal. Even 1 terminal touching metal will cause issues. Hope this helps.

No sound from tuner all other inputs OK

It sounds as though one or more of the MOSFET's failed. MOSFET's are metal-oxide semiconductor field effect transistors. In layman's terms the Ic responsible for amplifying the sound produced in a given circuit.
These are not difficult to replace for a qualified shop and I think you would be surprised at how inexpensive it actually is - for a qualified shop...
My advice send it in and have it estimated and repaired. You might even research the net and send it off to have it done... Stereo repair is a very competitive market and it could save you some real bucks..
Hope this helps
