Hose The intake hose has torn apart at the base where it is attached. Is there some way I can repair it or do I have to order a new hose. The Sears store where I purchased it is of no help.

Re: Hose

You will have to replace the hose. If you want to get it thru Sears, go to, click on parts, enter the model number, if they have it in their system, you can find the part there and order it. Or take the model number and go to where someone has Hoover parts and buy it thru them.

Part of the hose is torn. Do I have to replace the whole hose or can it be repaired ?

Which hose is torn? The hose underneath or the hose with the extension wand in the handle?

Where I work we can sometimes repair the wand hose, and the little hose undernath is usually a cheap costing replacement.

Don't cut the hoser. It has electrical wiring. You will need to replace it. Unfortunately, Samsung doesn't make vac's anyore. you might find a repair place that can fix your hose, or can order a new one. . we can fix it here, we are in Albuquerque, NM. I hope this helps.

The attachment hose is torn right where it connects to the motor . And there should be a trigger on the end of the hose right below where it connects to the hand tool.

Clean water coming out of sides

Hoover SteamVac Ultra (model F5883-900) Threw it away, and had to buy a new machine. Sorry, but I found it more difficult to deal with the housing unit on the machine and just couldn't deal with it anymore. I hope you have better luck than I did with it. I couldn't find ANY help on ANY web sites for this model, just too old I guess.

Hoover floor mate stopped picking up the water

Usually when this happens, it has to do with a dirty or bad filter(#45, 40112050). Or the recovery tank isn't seating like it should. Maybe this picture will help.

Eureka Enviro Vac Model 4470 Not Sucking

First, check to see if there is suction without the hose on the base. If not, and there is no blockage, the problem is likely a damaged impeller, the small fan that makes the suction. That will have to be replaced.
