Problem with internet explorer

I have wireless internet at home, do not pay for the service from my wireless company. Have used internet many many times successfully, and am showing a strong wifi connection. However, whatever web address i type i get a popup "The address is not valid. Check the address and try again"

-   I have the same problem with my Acer N311. I remember, when I bought it it was the same problem, but now, I can not find the solution. Now, I cannot connect to my PC neither. When I try to connect to PC, I get an error, that cannot obtain the server provided IP address. I think, the problem somewhere the DHCP settings, but I don't know exactly.-   rpeter
