Question about Technics SL-MC50 CD Player

1 Answer

Error/message F-26 displays. Unit will not fully power off and no Cd's will play at all. I do not have the user manual. It worked fine up until yesterday - was running full random with approx 40 cd's loaded... it stopped after 2 hrs and displayed the F-26 error code. I checked to see if there were any cd's stuck... it is clear. I removed all cd's and unplugged the unit... when I plugged it back in, the F-26 error code is still displayed.

F26 is " communications error between CD servo IC and CPU "

Could mean almost anything. It's not a code that I can ever remember seeing
come up. May have been due to a random system screwup, but if it occurs
again, with it being Technics ( Panasonic ) I would feel inclined to suspect
bad joints on either of the two mentioned ICs

Good Luck

Received an error code 50c on my Dell printer

Regarding the Dell A940 "Error 50c"....the user guide doesn't seem to mention "Error 50c". They do, however, mention a "Cartridge Error" on page 52 of the manual. They claim this means that the printer has detected a short circuit (fuse/resister) in the cartridge. As you may or may not have noticed in the manual, this is what they recommend doing about it:

1) Press Power to turn the printer off.

2) Lift the printer cover/lid (scanner unit) until the scanner support holds it open.

3) Turn the printer on.
The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.

4) Remove the color ink cartridge.

5) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new black cartridge.

If the error message does not display, repeat steps 1–3 and then go to step 6.

6) Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge.

7) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new
color cartridge.
If there is no error message (indicated by flashing lights), repeat steps 1–3 and then reinstall both ink cartridges.
8) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If you get the error message again, while both cartridges are installed, replace both of the cartridges.

Basically, what they want you to determine is,....if the short circuit is with the "black ink" cartridge or the "color ink" cartridge and then replace the cartridge that has the problem.

Thanks for all the ideas and help ; )

When I try to play a C.D. on my system it gives me the following information. FRMTREAD, Error 15. What does this mean and what do I do to correct this problem? My system is a DEH2000MP S.N....

Consult your owner's manual for error codes. You have a disk/disk reader problem. A similar model Pioneer Manual indicates FRMTREAD as what is displayed while reading a disk. Error 15 equates to "The inserted disk does not contain any data". If this occurs with multiple disks, try the disks in a known good cd player. If they work there, it is likely a reader problem (alignment, bad reader, etc.) which would likely not be worth repairing or replacing in that unit.

1. Have you checked the manual for that?
2. Is it working before?
3. Have you tried different CDs? are they working?

Check and see if there is a fuse on the back of the unit if so check it to make sure that it is not blown. Also make sure that it is at least a 25 - 30amp fuse. If that is not it the make sure you have the power wires hooked up right. See a Er-05 message means that the power that that unit needs is not there. So it will not read all cd's. It takes more power to read a burner than a normal cd. Hopefully this helps

Jeep 10 disc changer; now only error message on dash.

I had this same problem on my 2000 Jeep GC Limited. Today I decided to open it up after looking all over the net and found no help, but spend $500.00 on a new unit. I removed the unit and used canned air inside all the areas I could. I hooked it back up and was finally able to make the CD cleaner disc work. Once that was done I loaded it with 10 cd's and it is working again. I'm so happy! I saved my hubby 500 big ones.
