What does the newly mounted drive belt look like?

What does the newly mounted drive belt look like? Would love a photo showing it.
There is a rubber thing and I cannot tell whether or not to weave one side of both sides of the new belt around it. The belt seems a little loose when I just loop it around both pulleys.
I have the service manual from on line, but the pictures are not clear.
