Assuming this is a new PC build... Problem can be from various sources like memory chips, graphics cards, the cpu, hard drive drivers for Vista/XP. Can you give some more details to where you are in your build?

This system was assembled four years ago. It is complete. It needed a system repair and after that was done the motherboard splashscreen appeared.

Gerry Rains -The computer is running perfectly well. It is protected by Kaspersky Internet Suite which has a powerful antivirus. I also run Roguekiller, adwcleaner, temporary file cleaner, junkware removal tool, malwarebytes, and Super AntiSpyware Pro. I doubt that it is infected. These have all run full scans since the system repair.

When the computer was first purchased it displayed this splashscreen. A friend got rid of that splashscreen, but he is no longer in the area and I don't know what he did.

Good day sir/maam, the reasons are several, but there are two common reason why it behaves like that.

  1. Bad windows installation or it is infected by a virus that resets you pc regularly, you may need to reinstall a clean copy of windows and scan all your flash drives with anti-virus softwares.
  2. Bad power supply box. swap out any good power supply or better buy a new one.
hope this helps, feel free to ask hope this helps.

Hello,

If this is a new install, make sure the board is grounded to the base with the standoff post. If you do not tighten your screws or miss these standoff, your system will short and not power up.

Wher do i plug in a 7in1 card reader on a gigabyte ga-ep45-ud3p mother board

If, that's the keyword, IF that M-board has an available USB port on the inside, you can plug it in there. But that's really only good if that unit will then fit into an external slot on the front face of the PC itself.

New gigabyte EP45-UD3P mb intel q9400 dvd drive won't burn dvd

Hi,

many people when doing bios-hardware updates. leave optical drives connected. this can have adverse effects on connected items. the only 2 suggestions i have for you are:-

**** uninstall and re-install the Drive first In device Manager****

1:) if the motherboard has 2 ide slots Primary/secondary. put the dvd writer on the secondary, or vice versa. and setup as a Master Drive. ( jumper block at rear )

2:) Go to lite-ons website. and see if there is a firmware available for that model of DVD Rom drive. and carefully re-flash the drive itsel.

Hope this guides you in the right Direction.
